Nigerians react as Burna Boy features Damian Marley, Angelique Kidjo in new album
Burna Boy recently announced on social media that he is set to release an album titled African Giant. In one of the songs, the artist featured Damian, the son of the famous late Bob Marley. This has caused many Nigerians to react. The Nigerian singer also featured Angelique Kidjo in the track.
Upon knowing that 41-year-old Damian Marley and Angelique Kidjo have been featured in the album, many Nigerians could not contain their excitement. They expressed their anticipation and joy on Twitter.
This is just amazing to know, I'm a huge Burna Boy fan, I've been since 2012 when he dropped his first single, and ever since he's got me hooked. I wouldn't say Burna Boy is a full reggae artist but he loves to rap in Patois and the Reggea style is not far from him at all, he kind of finds a balance between African style of music and Reggea. I also like him because he's one the most energetic Nigerian artists as well.
This collaboration with Damien Marley did not get just me excited but also a majority of Nigerians. The collaboration to me seems like a mixture of Energy and Soul where Damien Marley is the Soul of Reggae and Burna Boy is the Energy of music! I cannot wait to jam the song!!!!
For a lot of people who don't know Angelique Kidjo is, she sang Agolo, I think this is her most famous track, it's the one I know her well with, and it is dipped in African sauce.
Angélique Kpasseloko Hinto Hounsinou Kandjo Manta Zogbin Kidjo, known as Angélique Kidjo, is a Beninese-American singer-songwriter, actress, and activist who is noted for her diverse musical influences and creative music videos. Time magazine has called her "Africa's premier diva".
She's also famous for the track titled Wombo Lombo which was the Theme song for FIFA 1996, these were tracks dated back to the 90's, but theyr'e never old....gold is never old, and Angelique Kidjoe is an epitome of that.
You might know this song, here's a link to jiggle your memory..

Anything with Damian Marley is set to be awesome. I was pregnant when JamRock used to play on the radio and I would listen to it over and over and over.
I might play that for my daughter to see if she remembers.
Hahaha wow, it will be very interesting if she can actually remember...
I am not going to tell her anything. I am just going to play it on the radio for her and see if she remembers or bops her head along or something similar.
sweet!!! I'd love to know how she reacts...please keep me posted lol....
