As mentioned above, many Mughal rulers are responsible for giving it its beauty and splendid architectures. Other than them, by the end of the 18th century it was gone under the dominance of the British Empire, they not only made it the capital city of British Punjab but they also built the city, many buildings and architecture of that era can also be seen through out the city.

The city of Lahore generates its income from agriculture as well, using a large area around it residential one. It has a great geographical location and excellent weather conditions for different sorts of crops which are not available in many cities of the country. This also places Lahore somewhere on the top in the list of agricultural cities.

Temperature in Lahore usually gets very high around the months of May to August and that's why all the crops that are supposed to be sown in the dry hot climate are sown and cultivated here. Similarly, during winter time it gets cold and rains too, so the crops that need a cold and wet climate are suited to be sown during that certain period. Lahore provides a bigger part of fruits and vegetables production of the province, or more appropriately to say, of the country.

Through these agricultural goods, Lahore earns a lot amount that includes into the Gross Domestic Product revenue of the city, the amount lies around $65 billion. The economy of the city is increasing by a good rate and is making more jobs for the people of the city. The fruits mostly mangoes and oranges and vegetables such as saag (spinach) and watermelons are the ones that are in the most demand because of their great taste and ripeness. The fruits can be bought from the local vendors too as they sell each and every one of their agricultural products at a very reasonable price that is affordable to anyone and of great quality. The fruits are great in quality because of the land. After completing the need of the people of the country, these fruits are also being exported to other countries such as the Middle East and UK.

The increase in agricultural growth leads to the increase in the export of the country and that’s why Pakistan earns a good amount of Capital through it. There is a great demand of Pakistani fruit in many countries of the world where people do not have right weather conditions, climate and the condition of the lands do not favor the grow of these type of fruits. At some of the places these conditions do not allow the grow at all and where these fruits could be grown, they don't have good quality and taste.
