Choices! What will it be? #53
Assalam o Alaikum everyone! I hope you will be well and good by the grace of Almighty Allah who is the most merciful and gracious to everyone.
Today I am here to participate in a contest organized by @patjewell about the choices. I have chosen "Pacman" as my choice. If you haven't joined it yet and you wanted to join it then join and share your thoughts here about your favourite choice.
There are a number of different video games. The history of the video games is full of unique titles and icons which later became the part of our society. Similarly pacman has a lot of significance in our culture. The origin of pacman is a game. Pacman was designed by a Japanese game designer. The name of that game designer was Toro Iwatani. And it was released by Namco in 1980 which is a popular gaming industry. As soon as pacman was released it became a global phenomenon and became an essential part of the popular culture.
Arcade games has a golden era and in that golden era pacman also born. In these days video games were booming and they were getting popularity. People were getting addiction of the auction, shooting and space fight games. But the pacman offered a unique and simple addictive gameplay experience. It attracted all types of players including people of all ages and backgrounds.
The working of the game is very simple and easy. The players control the pacman. Pacman iss a yellow pizza shaped character. The pacman moves in the space by opening his mouth. And on the way there are maze which are eaten by the pacman. Meanwhile the ghosts attack the pacman.
The ghosts in the pacman game are of different colours. They may be blinky, pinky, inky and clyde. The pacman eats all the pellets on the way. And they avoid the ghosts. Some pellets are more powerful and they give more energy and abilities to the pacman for a short interval of time. If the pacman hits with the ghost it looses it's energy and it dies. There are some chances in the game. And after the specific times of death of the pacman the game is over. I have played this video game many times and I always enjoy playing it.
A Global Phenomenon
When the pacman was released it became very popular. And it was being played worldwide. If I say that everyone who has experienced the early games has played this game. So it gave a global phenomenon. It got the attention of everyone. Even related to the pacman character different toys, clothes and cartoons were introduced. It's craze became as much as a song was also released with the name of Pacman Fever by Buckner and Garcia. It also became a hit song.
Evolution and Adaptation
Evolution is the must thing in any industry. Similarly the pacman has developed a lot. It has adapted the new technologies and platforms. With the integration of the new technologies and platforms it has become more interesting and universal to use. Many new features including the new levels and characters have been introduced to make it more adaptable according to the changing era. There is multiplayer gaming experience. And the tunes and voices of the actions in the pacman game are more fascinating and addictive than the previous.
Legacy and Impact
Pacman has its own craze and love in the hearts of its fans. It is still a beloved and iconic figure in the whole world of gaming. It is not complex but still it is an addictive game to play. It has memorable characters which attract the players to play this legendary game without counting time. Almost 4 decades have passed since it was born in the gaming industry but still its craze is alive.
Conclusion
Pacman has gotten the world by storm. Pacman gained success as soon as it was released. And the pacman became an identity and a symbol of love and addiction. Pacman is easy to play and anyone can easily play and enjoy it. The yellow pizza shaped pacman character is amazing. And the attacking ghosts of different colours make pacman full of fun. Pacman is adopting new technologies and platforms but it's basic working and concept is simple. It has an aim to entertain people of all ages with the evolution.
