Simplenote, a simple and distraction-free note-taking app, promises to give you a clutter-free space to take notes. Your notes are synchronized with all of your devices.
You can organize and sort your note by tags; further, you can get prior versions of your notes, as the notes are backed up when you edit them.
As the name suggests, there is no rich text-formatting and it does not come with file attachment and image upload features.
Simplenote has apps for Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, and Linux devices, and you don't have to pay for it; it's free!

Great find. I am never quite happy with note writing apps. This seems basic and it can coordinate with other devices. This one I am going to have to try out.
YOU ARE VERIFIED.
remember to hunt really your best finds on the web, we want the site to be fully of quality awesome products that people will love!
some power tips for the next hunt.. .
I usually use
colornoteandevernoteto record or write about my notes. I think simplenote can be alternative note on mobile phone. It looks simple and free. Thanks for sharing"Simplenote" is a very simple and much effected app. I am glad to know about this because i think it will help me much in my office work to maintain and well organize and sort out when needed, its features are so helping. More interesting thing is that it is free and compatible for at least every device. thankful to you @monajam for introducing this app here.
I do very much like simple Apps. It is for a reason I use the native 'note' App of my smartphone. All synced through O365 and therefore I have access to it from all my devices including Apple and Windows based systems. I do like the ability to highlight tekst, the bold or italic feature. Not sure of this App has this, but what I see as added benefits over the App I'm using today, is that fact it has versioning, and the Tag feature could be quite interesting to use (although with search capability one can search for any word). Wondering why it is completely free; Nothing is free in this world.
Are you familiar with the concept of Open Source software? (I'm not trying to be facetious or rude here, just a honest question).

Simple note is FOSS (GPLv2) and you can contribute to one of its versions or potentially even for it, here: https://github.com/Automattic
Yeah I do, I seem to have missed that part for this App, now I understand why it can be free :) Super Cool, since Open Source will be super important for the future, for topics like AI and Robotics to prevent the few big corporates to dominate societies through our addiction to technology. Super hunt!
It's quite rich with a lot of interesting & useful features, but the feature I like the most is its being synchronized with all of the devices. It is like giving the freedom to work/organize anywhere and anytime at one's convenience and not to worry about getting them organized on each of the device ... Isn't it the one of the very purpose of getting notes?
Great @monajam ... another excellence in hunting & sharing a product.
First it's user friendly and it is an app.. I don't know if anyone would know how I feel about apps when they solve a problem... Going for practice or lessons, I don't need to pick a note an pen again because I have it on my phone as an app... Cool
A simple yet powerful note taking app. As shown in the video, it comes with some extra features too like Search, sort, and share etc. Why this app is different from others because it can retrieve your deleted notes which is superb and makes this a worthy to try app.
First of all, I was told to log in, there was a wordpress.com option there because I had a wordpress.com account and I used it. I think the notes I made here can be uploaded directly to a post on wordpress.com, but after I searched, it turned out I couldn't, or did I really not know?
The best is often the simplest, I like the KISS rule. And this application Simplenote is exactly that. The notes must be simple to create, easy to find on all your devices :
Just perfect... Thanks for sharing it @monajam
