Litecoin Market Capitalization Crosses $15 Billion and Continues to Increase
In a massive race, since the weekend the price of Litecoin has risen from less than $100 on Friday to almost $300 in press time. Along with the price hike, the altcoin's market capitalization has increased from $8 billion to more than $16 billion in just two days.
The peak prices have largely been attributed to a combination of increased Bitcoin awareness, and Litecoin's potential to become the payment method of choice, should Bitcoin's price become so large that smaller payments are not viable.
The price jump provoked a protest of desperation on Twitter under the hashtag #ShouldveBoughtMoreLitecoin, as investors lamented that they had not bought more of the altcoin when prices were low.

Massive increase
The enormous increase in the market cap and Litecoin's price reflects the overall growth in the adoption of crypto coins worldwide throughout 2017. The increase has been so substantial that the current market capitalisation of Litecoin is more than the total market capitalisation of all cryptomoney combined at the beginning of the year.

Part of the growth in cryptomoney investment comes from investors moving from traditionally stable investment vehicles, such as gold, to dip their toes into cryptomoney.
i have to honestly say i had doubts about Litecoin in the past but now I'm a firm believer that this is now the Silver to Bitcoin
