How to Concentrate on Your Lesson

Do you have trouble concentrating while studying? Do not worry. The best students also experience the same thing. Maybe you just need to adjust the learning patterns, use new ways, or make better learning plans so that your mind can rest as often as possible. You will more easily concentrate by doing some of the following ways.

1.Determine the right place to learn.
Find a quiet place with an appropriate environment for learning, for example in a quiet room or library that is free of distractions, to make it easier for you to concentrate. Keep TV, pets, and all the distractions. Also prepare a comfortable chair and good lighting. Try to keep your back, neck, and eyes tense during learning because the pain will interfere with concentration.
- Do not learn while watching TV because you are just getting on with your homework after an ad show. Turn on the TV or radio for a while while resting briefly, like you did while taking a drink or wanting to breathe fresh air.
- Sit in a chair and use the study desk. Do not study in bed, unless you really want to read above the folds of blankets while sitting on the head of the bed while turning on the reading lights. However, do not read while lying down because you will fall asleep. In addition, you will associate the bedroom with learning activities thus creating the impulse you want to avoid.

2.Prepare all the learning needs.
Put stationery and books in easy-to-reach places so that your attention will not be distracted while studying. Tidy up the study room so there is no pile of stuff that fills your mind. Thus, you do not have to stand up from the chair so as not to disturb the peace of learning.
- Prepare all the needs near you, although not necessarily used. Put the textbooks, notes, and paper sheets you need (including lesson schedules) in an easily accessible place. This is a preparation for success. Use a laptop if it's really needed to learn. If not, keep it away first.

3.Prepare a snack near the study area.
Choose a snack that can be eaten immediately, such as beans, strawberries, an apple piece, or a small piece of unsweetened chocolate. Also prepare water, but do not drink too much coffee, caffeinated tea, or energy-boosting drinks because you'll be awake all night. These drinks only make your body more lethargic so it feels very tired and can not be overcome in any way other than sleep.
- If you want to know high-nutritious foods, look for information about berries, spinach, pumpkin, broccoli, sugarless chocolate, and fish that are very helpful to help the brain work so you can learn well.
4.Write down your learning goals.
What do you want (should) to accomplish today? What should you do to feel that you have completed all the tasks? This is the goal that will show you what to do during your study.
- Determine the purpose that can be done. If you should read 100 pages this week, divide it to 20 pages per day. Do not learn beyond ability. Remember that your time is limited. If you have spare time of just an hour tonight, complete the most important task first.

5.Turn off your phone and other electronic devices.
This keeps you from wanting to gain time to learn to get your work done as planned. Use the computer just to learn and avoid unnecessary distractions. Set your phone up for no incoming calls, unless it is in an emergency.
- Use the SelfRestraint, SelfControl, and Think apps that can block websites and programs that distract your attention easily. Try to identify your own needs by deciding whether you should block Facebook for a while. Do not worry, you can access it again later.

6.Play a calming music.
There are people who are easier to concentrate when listening to music, but there is also a disturbed. Find out which music works best for you. The soft music sounds in the background make you forget that you are learning, even make the atmosphere feel more fun.
