Hi everyone, I hope you are doing great. It's again about the 100 DAY POETRY CHALLENGE (hosted by @d-pend). It's Day 98 today and below is my entry.
A BRIEF ABOUT MY ENTRY
Today, my entry titled " It Is Here" is a free verse poem about the joy that comes with the festival. I hope you enjoy it.
It is here
The day where we all gather
With love and bliss
To celebrate and merry
It is here
The day everyone can smile
With less worry and concern
Because it is a day of joy
It is here
The day when my teeth
Would break the bone to pieces
Leaving no meat on board.
It is here
The day I reunite with my family
Sharing undiluted joy
And catching up on missed days.
It is here
The Muslim Eid
The rewards for my sacrifices
And a day of forgiveness and mercy.

HAHAH got me excited about the festivals too. I like the repetition in this piece as it solidifies the feeling of a long awaited event.
I found this line rather interesting
So I'm guessing you eat the chicken bones like a do, or was that a metaphor for something else? ( my guess is the chicken bones lol)
IF so, I love how real and true to you that is.
I like this piece in that it shows the love and excitement towards your religion. Good work man.
