Cartoon film review "The Grinch" (2018)

The world premiere of the new full - length animated film "The Grinch", created by American animators in the genre of Comedy fantasy for family viewing, took place on November 8, 2018.

The premiere for the Russian audience took place in cinemas of the country on December 13, 2018.

It is also already available on any of the sites that offer free services for viewing various videos online, without registration and in good image and sound quality. That's how I watched it.

What will tell us the story of this cartoon?

It is based on the fairy tale of the same name written sixty years ago by the English writer Theodor Geisel, who is better known to his readers under the pseudonym Dr. Suss.

In this tale tells of a certain evil green man named Grinch, who lives on a high mountain with his only friend dog max, at the foot of which freely stretches the city of Ktograd. By the way, he looks pretty cute))

In the city lives a cheerful people, good people who enjoy life, like to celebrate different noisy holidays, especially Christmas and New year.

Each such holiday caused our hermit a lot of negativity, he was angry with people, especially the loud kids, and came up with various tricks in order to spoil the lives of residents.

It should be noted that our hero did not always live on the mountain. His childhood and youth were spent in Ktograd, but due to the fact that he was constantly ridiculed by the inhabitants of the city, mocked at his skin color, he became angry at the whole world and left the city.

For the rest of his life he dreamed of how to annoy and avenge people for their humiliation, and finally came up. Christmas holidays were approaching, which are so looking forward to everything from small to large. Here is the Grinch and decided to ruin people's festive mood, to steal their Christmas, to make them feel what it's like to be lonely and abandoned...

And he would have succeeded if it wasn't for one little boy who saw in him what others could not recognize. The end of the story, you know, looking at this picture until the end.

In the voice acting cartoon characters participated Benedict Cumberbatch, Cameron Seeley, Rashida Jones, Farrell Williams, Tristan O'hare, Kenan Thompson and other actors who coped with the task set before them.

The cartoon was translated into Russian by Ilya Isaev, Vasilisa Savkin, Anastasia Lapina, Alexey Kolgan and Ivan Bychkov.

I must say that this is not the first film adaptation of this tale. The eponymous film based on it starring Jim Carrey, released in the world distribution in 2000, has become one of the most popular creations of cinema.

The new cartoon is already a huge success for millions of viewers living in different parts of our planet. I must say that its premiere was originally scheduled for the end of 2017, and then postponed for a year ahead.
