Review of the film "Atomica" (2017)

The world premiere of a new science fiction Thriller called "Atomica", filmed by American filmmakers, took place on March 17, 2017.

As for when it will be released on the screens of Russian cinemas, there is no information on the Internet.

However, I found a video with this film in the public domain on one of the sites that provide services for free viewing of films, TV series and other video materials in good quality and without registration.

I was attracted by the description of the plot of this film, however, on different sites they were slightly different. Viewing also showed that the differences in the description of the plot is actually quite significant.

So what's really going on in this movie?

In the near future, humanity has learned to process radiation waste into energy, which led to savings not only financial resources, but also material and natural resources, the reserves of which at this point are quite depleted.

Around the stations engaged in this processing, the so-called "red zone" spread for many kilometers around, the presence of which for any living creature was fatal, despite the fact that the station building itself was covered with a special insulating layer that did not allow radiation.

All was well until a certain time, when at the time of celebrating the next Christmas after from one of the stations located in the desert, received a signal of violation of the safety Protocol of the engine and lost contact with her.

All this could threaten great trouble for many hundreds of thousands of people, or even cause an environmental disaster on a planetary scale.

That is why Abby Dixon, a new engineer of the company that built and manages nuclear power plants around the world, showing his own initiative, went there to find the cause of what is happening and fix the damage.

In principle, this was not part of her job duties, but all the employees of the company celebrated the holiday with the family, which Abby was not... Once inside the station, the girl was surprised to find that no one meets her, no one answers her cries. Only when she got into the room, where the idea was to be on duty, there was a strange-looking young man, who called himself a technician responsible for the repair of equipment station.

Another employee of the station, the doctor, according to the guy a few days ago went to explore the area and did not return back.

Having stayed there very long, Eddie notices that the station is happening something incredible. The reactor and its fan, which according to the company's specialists, a priori should not have failed, suddenly refused...

Plus, the first night she had a nightmare, which was repeated every time she fell asleep.

How events developed in this film, see for yourself. It's quite interesting. Special effects, as such, you will not find here, but they are not needed here.

And yet, try not to turn off the video until at least half of the credits: there will be more pictures that will finally shed light on what is happening.

Starring Sarah Habel, Dominic Monahan, Tom Sizemore, Phil Austin, Tony Dup, Han Cho, Jennifer Spriggs and other actors, and I must say, they did a good job.
