Review of the film "Rogue One"(2016)
Greetings, dear friends!
The film "Rogue One" is an intermediate link between the third ("Revenge of the Sith") and the fourth ("New hope") episodes of the famously famous science fiction Saga"Star wars". It was filmed by American filmmakers in the genre, and its world premiere took place on December 10, 2016. In Russian cinemas, it was released five days later. It can also be viewed on websites that provide services for watching movies online.
Few can say that they do not know what is at stake in the series of these films, because the characters of these films have long been recognized and loved by millions of fans of "Star wars".
In this part of the Saga we are talking just the same about where there was a formidable weapon "death Star", capable in a split second to smash the molecules of the whole planet.
It involves new characters, the existence of which we either did not know anything or heard about them vaguely.
It - engineer Galen Erzo, played by Mads Mikkelsen, who created the Empire's weapons. Realizing the danger of what he has done, he flees with his wife and daughter Jean to one of the abandoned planets, but the Imperials overtook him and took him prisoner. The daughter who remained the orphan, having grown up, rose on a criminal way and got to prison. The rebels, however, do not give up, seeking access to weapons, release Jean ((felicity Jones) and demand that she lead them to their father.
The plot is quite interesting, developing dynamically. Of the characters involved in the Saga, this film features only Senator Mon Mothma (Genevieve O'reilly), Princess Leia's adoptive father (Jimmy Smits), flashed in the episode, and Darth Vader in the voice acting of James Earl Jones.
The film is full of episodes of large-scale battles, chases and other events. Special effects, scenery, design scenes at a level no lower than what was in the "Star wars", everything looks just great.
Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Alan Tudyk, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Ben Mendelssohn, and other actors starring in the film, played their roles too high.
As for whether to watch this film or not - decide for yourself.
In principle, I liked it, at the same time, I think, so little to lose, if you do not see. Just everything that happened next is known from recent seasons. This film would have been good if it had been shot on time.
