Macro Photography : Small blue Grasshopper

Hi everybody

Grasshoppers are herbivorous insects of the suborder Caelifera in the order Orthoptera. These insects have antennae that are almost always longer than their bodies and also have a short ovipositor.

The sound produced by some grasshopper species is usually produced by rubbing the back of the femur against the forewings or abdomen (called stridulation), or by flapping the wings during flight.

The femur at the back is generally long and strong which is suitable for use. These insects generally have wings, although the wings are sometimes unable to see and fly.

Female grasshoppers are generally larger than male grasshoppers. In Islam, the grasshopper is one of two animals that have died before it is still lawful to eat, along with fish. but this type of grasshopper is not lawful to eat, because he is a bit like a cockroach.
