Internxt - X CloudsteemCreated with Sketch.

A week ago I urged all to take part in a re-tweet contest to win a X-Cloud vision worth €9.95 by Internxt.

As of yesterday 27th March 2019, a business that I've been a supporter in, launched their first stable version of X Cloud.

As the saying goes, the first is always the most precious!

What X Cloud is offering is not only an alternative to the likes of Dropbox, Tresorit, Good Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, but an improvement in terms of security, privacy and pricing.

Top-Notch Encryption

Unlike traditional cloud service providers, X Cloud ensures uploaded files are encrypted using AES 256 encryption, used by government agencies and banks for sensitive information, before they leave users' devices and reach the machines of X Core servers.

0-Knowledge System

Unlike traditional cloud service providers which collect, store, and even use (abuse) your data, X Cloud ensures this is not the case.

No one except you have excess to your file decryption keys, not any third party or even Internxt has access to your files.

File Sharding

Additionally, each uploaded file is spilt into smaller shards, and each shard is replicated and stored in a different X Core node (ie. a computer). When accessing your file, these shards are gathered back and decrypted.

In the event if one or more nodes are down, you will still be able to retrieve the whole file, since another node will have a copy of part of your file. This is just one of the many benefits of decentralisation.

X Core Hosts

What will be the incentives to host a X Cloud node?

Hosts are able to rent out extra hard-drive space on their computers to store the shards of users' files.

Revenues derived from X Cloud will be used to purchase $inxt tokens from the open market to compensate X Cloud Hosts.

All in all, it is plain obvious how Internxt's X Cloud is a 'quantum leap' above the rest of its competition. And it'll be exciting to see greater adoption of their services in time to come.

This is great... I remember a geens.com earlier but it won't succeed.
