Pisang ayam
In Aceh we call this banana “Pisang ayam”, which means Chicken Banana. Nobody seems to know the origin for this odd name. Pisang ayam has a pleasant taste – sweet and a little bit acid. The shape is smaller and more delicate than the Cavendish banana.
Banana is one of the high-calorie tropical fruits. 100 grams of banana meat contains 90 calories. In addition, it contains beneficial health fibers, anti-oxidants, minerals and vitamins.
