This means that in Michael Jordan's country, the American people do not directly elect the president, but they elect the president using the electoral College method, unlike in Indonesia. We elect a presidential candidate with the most votes. Whoever gets the most votes will be the winner.
So, what is electoral collage? Simply explained, electoral Collage is a series of activities involving elections, meetings, and vote counting by electors.
Is the election complicated, but it is not. US Presidential elections start at the lower level or in the states. Citizens of the United States can vote in three ways, namely voting by mail, voters vote at home then the ballot is sent back through a red ballot drop off box, the second way is early voting by filling out a ballot at a predetermined place.
And the third is voting directly on election day by coming directly to the polling station that has been provided. They can vote directly by voting on the ballot (direct voting) or by using electronic voting (e-voting).
Americans elect members of the Senate (DPR in Indonesia). On the ballot, members of the Senate come from the two parties in America, the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. The one that gets the most seats from the 539 electoral collage. That's who wins the election. And their presidential candidate is directly elected as the next President of the United States.

After the voting, the next stage will be the counting of votes by officials. Votes are counted in all states. The candidate who gets all the electoral votes will get all the Electoral Votes in that State. Only two regions use proportional votes, namely Maine and Nebraska. So that in these two regions the two parties will divide the Electoral Votes.
The difference with Indonesia is obvious. Although simultaneously we elect the House separately from the President, meaning that there are two ballot papers that we choose. So that the result is that the chairman of the House of Representatives is not from the Party of the elected President, while in America the Chairman of the Senate comes from the Party of the elected President.
