Fancy masks and extravagant costumes at Venice Carnival

Hundreds of revellers wearing fancy masks and extravagant costumes lined the narrow alleys and bridges of Venice as carnival cheer exploded in the canal city.
The theme for the 2018 edition of Venice Carnival is 'Playing' and will run from January 27 to February 13.
During the two weeks, the city greets hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over Italy and the world.
