Colorful photo challenge_Giant butterfly
hello steemians friend, in my post this time I will explain a little about butterfly type like picture below. hope you guys like.
this kind of butterfly is very rare to find, probably because of its lack of popularity. a myth for aceh people, if a butterfly of this type goes into the house then it is a sign that a guest will come to the house. if kupu kupunya only a brief entry means that guests will come too briefly, and vice versa if kupu kupunya berlulang in the house then it can be predicted that guests will come will be long even stay in the house. myths and predictions like this are very accurate for aceh people because what is predicted through the butterflies is very frequent, so if the butterflies enter the house no one throw him away, therefore the butterflies are considered as a sign of coming guests.
Understanding butterflies for us are very familiar. Butterflies are colorful insects with large triangular wings. Butterflies belong to an order or a large group of insects called Lepidoptera. The scientific name of the butterfly group comes from small scales that fill its wings. The word Lepidoptera comes from two Greek words lepis meaning "scales" and pteron which means "wings". These scales are very soft, so easily fall off when the butterfly wings are held carelessly by human hands.
Butterfly wings are not modified limbs, but are extensions of the cuticle. The flapping of wings with the speed of several hundreds of peripheral females using the muscle is done to bend the shape of the entire cuticle covering the thorax. While the wings are flapping, the wings change the angle, thus generating lift (floating) from flapping up and down. The ability to fly is clearly the key to the success of such a large insect.
Flying animals can avoid many predators, find food and mating spouses, and can spread to new habitats much faster than animals that have to crawl on the ground. Butterflies have one pair of wings that emerge from the dorsal thorax because the wing is an expansion of the cuticle and is not a true limb. Butterflies can fly without having to sacrifice the feet for the ability to walk on the surface.
For the human eye, the butterfly wings appear to be fluttering, but with special photographic technology, it can be seen that the butterfly wings bend and twist as they move up and down. This twisting and twisting motion pushes the air backward, moving the butterfly body forward so that the butterflies can fly. The stiff butterfly wings at the edges, the rigid edges of the rigid wings help to lift the butterfly's body.
