Part 1

“I don't know who he looks like,” said İffet.

"Who does he look like? To his crazy mother," Gülçehre replied.

"His mother's mind is also in the air, but not like this," Gülçehre said when she was laying chestnut leaves under the cornbread.

“They say his father died in the army during the training. And don't believe it,” İffet said. She was shaking the butter churn violently as if she hated the milk inside.

“It is strange that they settled this village as they descended from heaven. Though we have a job with them"

“We have three cents on our hands. I am not a girl to work for someone else, but I have no choice," said İffet.

Gülçehre said "we shall be thankful" while covering the dough of cornbread with chestnut leaves and burying it in the ground stove within the ashes.

“The 11-year-old boy is the longest in the village. His mother is also long, but not that much. Obviously, his father was long,” İffet said.

"We have had so much hearsay; he is an orphan child. It is a sin. If you look at the state of the mother, even he can be considered motherless,” said Gülçehre.

"We do not speak of our evil so that the time passes, " said İffet.

Lady Kudret entered the kitchen with a bunch of broom grass under her chair. “Hello girls,” she said with her usual joy.

İffet and Gülçehre saluted her with their heads.

“Let these herbs stand here, let no children touch, and I will make a broom on the turn. Boil the tea, prepare the table, we need to eat and leave immediately, we will take Engin to the doctor with Rıfat, " said Lady Kudret.

“I hope there's nothing wrong with him, is there? asked İffet.

“The neighbors advised to show him to a doctor as he is extremely tall. We will have him looked after,” said Lady Kudret.

Engin was a blond, straight-haired, slender boy. He had big brown eyes and a pointed chin. Some of his friends called him “Fox” at school, because his head, which stretched from his chin to his head, constituted almost a perfect triangle. However, he was a naive child; he had nothing to do with the naughty of the class, he was an ideal nerd.

They were going to the city with a 1956 Chevrolet. Engin was not interested in his grandmother and his uncle who drove the car but was trying to distinguish how Chevloret turns the sharp curves, how the wind bent the poplar trees along the road, and which of the clouds in the sky looked like fairies, wolves, ships, or God. The other day he was very excited when he saw God as an old man who was resting on his back in the sky. But soon, when the wind distorted the shape of the clouds, his excitement remained in the course.

"323 times 442," his uncle asked suddenly.

“142.766” Engin answered in a calm tone.

“You throw it out of your head,” said Rifat. He was an exuberant, joyous man, and since he was born, he had been a father to Engin as well as his two children.

"I crosschecked before saying," said Engin.

“I am curious if Nurperi took this child from the orphanage or not, he is not like his mother,” said Rifat.

“You've been jealous of Nurperi since you were a child,” Lady Kudret said.

The doctor examined Engin and asked if he had any complaint, without having to perform any tests, he diagnosed his condition as "heredity." Kudret Hanım and Rifat accepted this diagnosis of the doctor as they did not know who Engin's father was.

There was a heavy rain on the way back, which caused Engin to fill with joy; he was watching the swirls of the water flowing from the side of the road. Chevrolet's silhouettes not being able to keep up with the water in the windshield. When they entered the garden of the mansion, the rain stopped.

They went to watch the rainbow at the top of the hill where the mansion was leaning along with Kemal, Engin's cousin. Engin loved the smell of wet soil and grass that came together with the sun that led to the rain. He loved his confidant and his cousin, Kemal, the cows that heat the stables like a four-legged stove with their breath, the chickens with their hot eggs. But there was a void in him that never filled, and that he could not name. The rainbow disappeared until they arrived at the top, and because of the long grass on the way, their pants were soaked to their knees.

"If we had two wings, we would now float from here to the valley," said Kemal. Then he started running down the hill in the lawn jumping. He was running so fast that he soon rolled over, stayed where he fell for a while, and then he got up and started to shake his head off. When Kemal climbed up again and came to him, Engin said, “you fly without wings.”

After Dark, Engin began to walk back to the top lawn with his telescope, which he had hung on his neck. This time Kemal was not with him. He was bored when he accompanied Engin because he looked at the stars for a long time. The weather was so bright and the stars in the sky so shiny that he could easily choose the path ahead without the need for a flashlight. Before reaching the hill, at the last bend, some fireflies lit up like a torchlight procession. He's never seen so many fireflies together before. He suddenly jumped and tried to catch one. When he touched the firefly, an unexpected event took place: his hand was burned. Next, he made a wet leaf from the branches of the tree, drove like a balm into the palm of his hand, and continued on his way. There were thousands of stars in the sky, some of which were like red, some of them blue, and Engin was most affected by the view of the Milky Way.

When he reached the top, laid on the grass and started watching the sky with his telescope. It wasn't a random observation. In the nights when the weather was clear, he was scanning a specific area of the sky, especially the bright stars for minutes. Sometimes, just as he looked at the bright stars, he felt that someone was watching the world from space. It was this time of day that he spent with the stars he felt happy. After the first falling star he saw that night, he got up and headed home, and when he passed midnight, his grandmother was angry.

When he reached the mansion, everyone laid down. Passing by the oil lamp at the entrance and going up the wooden stairs. He went into the back room where his cousin was sleeping in the light of the only gas lamp on the upper floor. He found his pajamas and put them on and went to bed. It was so quiet that in the night only the wood crunches and werewolves from far away were heard. When he thought who his father was and why he left him, he fell asleep in the wool-scented heat of his bed.

Part 2

The Ismran Federation was born at a point near the center of the Milky Way and reached the technology that could extend to the outer branches of the galaxy where the solar system was located. The Federation's name consisted of the first letters of the six separate planets in which conscious life evolved independently from each other. The first civilization to succeed in the interstellar journey, the inhabitants of the Iona planet equipped other planets with scientific knowledge, on the other hand, demonstrated the ability to protect the difference in power to prevent a possible war in the developing process. Members of the Ismran Federation have developed rapidly by balancing the biological and cultural differences between them with the universal unification of science.

About 180.000 years ago, they sent their robots to the world to take samples of living things. The project was more for fun than being scientific because at that time they were so advanced in science that they were able to travel in time and travel thousands of times the speed of light. The Ismran robots, sent to the world, produced a sphere with a base area of 25 square kilometers in Siberia and flew this giant structure over the northern ice sea and brought it to Northern Europe. Robots discovered a hunter-gatherer clan with 14 families in the Norwegian countryside. They put them into the sphere they produced in Siberia with the soil beneath and all the living beings around them. Since the computer of the sphere controlled elements such as atmospheric pressure, gravity, air, sunlight, and seasons, the hunter-gatherers have not even noticed the situation for a long time. Ismran Federation citizens liked these advanced monkeys, walking on two legs, they were very sympathetic. The reality show program of their lives and interactions broke rating records for a long time.

However, environmental advocates have opposed because previously free-living creatures on a planet lived in a sphere that could be walked in an hour end-to-end. It was also argued that it was unnecessary for this ecosystem to be brought from the world, and this argument was hundred percent right. It was not possible to put them back where they had taken because, in the trench, new creatures had already begun to live. After a lengthy discussion, it was decided that these creatures would be placed on another planet that had no life on it. Planetary engineering had progressed so far that it did not take a year terraforming the ZSNP-5 planet, circulated the star ZSN-314, 39 light years from Earth. The people inside the sphere are transported to this planet and humanity has become colonized on a second planet before discovering the space travel.

The Ismran civilization continued to evolve rapidly, after spreading more than a million galaxies, they decided that the newly reached galaxies looked like the others and that our universe was a boring place. The Ismran civilization persistently searched for the existence of other universes but failed to reach a concrete conclusion. The Ismran individuals, which has been living on a network as an energy package for thousands of years, began to end their existence because there was nothing new they could engage in. Fortunately, a colony of individuals living on the horizon of a black hole could reveal the physic laws of a stable new universe that would enable to form dozens of complex forms. In the vast black hole at the center of the galaxy, the new universe was created, and the peoples of the Ismran civilization migrated to this new universe they created. Meanwhile, people on planet ZNSP-5 were already forgotten.

The ZNSP-5 planet was slightly smaller and colder than the Earth. The Planet completed its rotation around the M-type dwarf star, ZSN-314 in 8 days. The distance to the star of the planet was thirty percent of the distance between the Earth and the sun. For this reason, when our predatory cousins were first released to ZNSP-5, they had a great fear of seeing a big red sun shining in the sky of the planet. They immediately realized that gravity was about two-thirds of the Earth's gravity, and the children began to hop excitedly where they were, and the older people began to pray to the souls in the sky in fear.

New inhabitants of the ZNSP-5 planet filled the entire world in five thousand years thanks to the unique adaptability of the Homo Sapiens. They had undergone a process of evolution parallel to that of the Earth except for their length extending over a long period. Three centuries ago, they went into space, and when they discovered the Earth, they were thrilled.

Ingo was the last person to be decided to participate in the first expedition to the world in the vote of the staff assessment board. Despite his extraordinary intelligence and exceptional military capabilities, his irresponsible personality created hesitation in the members. Those who advocated the inclusion of Ingo in the crew thought that such a risk-taker would benefit the team. After all, he would have been an ordinary member of the crew and would not have taken any malicious action under the high-disciplined management of Starship Captain Ostania. The squad fell into a deep sleep on the starship, which could reach sixty percent of the speed of light, and woke up from the nap in a healthy way when the solar system was approached.

After a landing adventure in which there were lots of setbacks, the shuttle called Friendship made a forced landing in a region near the Soviet Union and Turkey border. Thanks to its invisibility, the vehicle was not caught on NATO and the Soviet Union radar. It was hidden in a pine forest at the foot of the Kaçkar Mountains as soon as it landed. Here, they started to listen to the radio stations, examine earth crust, atmosphere properties and investigate living things. On the one hand, damage to the probe during the landing was repaired, on the other side, data about the world was collected.

During the space journey, Ingo had to abide strictly by the rules of order. The head of the landing crew was a geology professor. Prof. Sekula had adopted a management style that included flexibility and creativity in place instead of strictly planned working concept and discipline. In the size of 1.98 cm, a short man according to the standards of the ZNSP-5 planet, Ingo would secretly monitor the nearby village to learn the cultures of Earthlings with naked eyes. Contact with people was strictly forbidden, and if he were accidentally discovered, he would activate his cloak of invisibility and return immediately to the shuttle. Otherwise, it could jeopardize the entire expedition.

On the second day of the village observation, Ingo saw a young girl gathering flowers on the upper slopes of the village. Her clothes didn't look like the girls in the village; she probably had urban roots. He liked her, and if he interfered with her, he would have had a chance to get to know the world's culture better. This was, of course, an excuse he didn't even believe, Ingo was a flirtatious man.

The central computer of the shuttle learned Turkish as well as many other languages in the world and published it as a service on chips embedded in the brains of the personnel. Ingo appeared in front of Nurperi the next day with a bunch of flowers in his hand. With the help of the chip in his brain, he told her that he was a Norwegian traveler and that he loved the mountains because they were very similar to the ones in his own country. In fact, it was true that his ancestors emigrated from Norway to ZNSP-5 180.000 years ago.

Nurperi was a bit afraid of such behavior, even though considered to escape at first, but couldn't get away because she was worried that it would make her look like a fool. A few seconds later, she decided that no harm would come from a man who spoke with such a funny accent and was always smiling. She said, “the Turkish men do not give flowers to a girl they do not know, it is a shame in our culture.”

Ingo tried to take the flowers from Nurperi's hand by saying, “I'm sorry.” Nurperi couldn't stop herself from laughing at this strange behavior. On top of that, Ingo gave up his attempt to get the flowers realizing it was also wrong.

“Do you learn the language of every place you visit?” Nurperi asked.

“I think I have a tendency to learn the language,” Ingo said.

“I can introduce you to the people of the village if you wish,” said Nurperi.

Ingo suddenly panicked and said, “I'm actually a shy person, I don't know how I've shown the courage to stand up to you, I probably thought you wouldn't hurt me.”

“You're a giant man, it's interesting to be afraid of someone,” said Nurperi astonished.

“I am here for a few more days, I would be happy if you do not tell anyone about my existence, as I know your language, many people invite me to their house, and I do not want to refuse anyone,” Ingo said.

When Nurperi and Ingo met secretly for the third time, they made love with the enthusiasm of youth in Ingrum's tent in the forest. Concerning both, the relationship, which began as a game, soon became interplanetary love.

A few days later, the repairs on the shuttle were completed, and the departure preparations were started before the scheduled time. The team was tired in the world due to high gravity, Prof. Sakura wanted to take off as soon as early when they caught the proper weather conditions.

Ingo went to the village to say goodbye to Nurperi, activated his cloak of invisibility and entered the town, but he could not find her at home or anywhere else.

After returning to planet ZNSP-5, Ingo didn't forget Nurperi for a long time. Nurperi was not likely to get pregnant because after intercourse he gave her a contraceptive drug. The drug somehow didn't work, and he had a child millions of miles away. Neither Ingo nor Nurferi had told anyone that they had an affair, and the war that suddenly erupted on the planet ZNSP-5 caused a delay of a new expedition to the world for 30 years. Ingo, of course, forgot about Nurperi and continued his affairs until he died from a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 72.

Nurperi lived under the protective wings of Kudret Hanım who survived until the age of 96. Engin became a worldwide astronomer who discovered many habitable planets, including the ZSNP-5.

Bölüm 1

“Çocuğun aklı havada, kime benzedi bilmem” dedi İffet.

“Kime benzeyecek, tevekkel annesine” diye cevap verdi Gülçehre.

“Annesinin de aklı havada ama bunun gibi değil” dedi İffet kestane yapraklarını pişirecekleri mısır ekmeğinin altına dizerken.

“Babası askerde talim sırasında öldü diyorlar. Duy da inanma” dedi İffet. Kulpundan tuttuğu yayığı, içindeki süte hınca varmış gibi şiddetle çalkalıyordu.

“Gökten iner gibi gelip bu köye yerleşmelerinden belli işin içinde bir çapanoğlu olduğu. Neyse bize de bir ekmek kapısı çıktı, fena mı” dedi Gülçehre.

“Elimize tutuşturdukları üç kuruş para. Ben el kapısında çalışacak bir kişi değilim ama yokluğun gözü kör olsun” dedi İffet.

Gülçehre mısır ekmeği hamurunun üzerini kestane yapraklarıyla kaplayıp yer ocağındaki közün içine gömerken “Karnın tok, sırtın pek. Haline şükret” dedi.

“11 yaşındaki çocuk köyün en uzunu oldu. Tevekkel anası da uzun ama 170 santim ya vardır ya yoktur. Belli ki babası uzunmuş bunun” dedi İffet, içindeki süt katılaşmaya başladığı için çalkaladığı yayık artık ağırlaşmıştı.

“Çok gıybet yaptık, yetim bir çocuk neticede, günahtır. Anasının durumuna bakılacak olursa öksüz bile sayılır” dedi Gülçehre.

“Kötülüğümüzden söylemiyoruz ki, maksat vakit geçsin” dedi İffet.

Kudret Hanım koltuğunun altında bir demet süpürge otuyla birlikte mutfağa girdi. “Kolay gelsin kızlar” dedi her zamanki neşesiyle.

“Kolaysa başına gelsin Hanım Abla” diye cevap verdi İffet.

“Bu otlar burada dursun, çoluk çocuk ellemesin, dönüşte süpürge yapacağım. Çayı koyun, sofrayı hazırlayın, hemen yiyip çıkmamız lazım, Rıfat’la beraber Engin’i doktora götüreceğiz” dedi Kudret Hanım.

“Hayırdır inşallah, yaramaz bir durum yok, değil mi?” diye sordu İffet.

“Komşular bu çocuğu bir doktora gösterin diye tutturdu. Ona baktıracağız” dedi Kudret Hanım.

Engin sarışın, düz saçlı, dal gibi ince bir çocuktu. İri kahverengi gözleri ve sivri bir çenesi vardı. Çenesinden yukarıya doğru genişleyen başı neredeyse mükemmel bir üçgen oluşturduğundan bazı arkadaşları onu okulda “tilki” diye çağırıyordu. Oysa Engin kendi halinde, naif bir çocuktu, sınıfın haylazlarıyla işi yoktu, tam bir inek öğrenciydi.

1956 model bir Chevrolet’yle köyün dar yollarından geçerek şehre doğru gidiyorlardı. Engin otomobili süren Rıfat dayısı ve anneannesi Kudret Hanım ile ilgilenmiyor, Chevloret’nin yol demeye bin şahit gereken stablize yolda keskin virajları nasıl döndüğünü, sert esen rüzgârın yolun kıyısındaki kavak ağaçlarını nasıl eğip büktüğünü, gökyüzündeki bulutların hangilerinin periye, kurda, gemiye ya da Tanrı’ya benzediğini ayırt etmeye çalışıyordu. Önceki gün Tanrı’yı gökyüzünde sırtüstü uzanmış keyif çatan yaşlı bir adam olarak gördüğünde çok heyecanlanmıştı. Ancak çok geçmeden bulutların biçimi rüzgârın etkisiyle bozulunca heyecanı kursağında kalmıştı.

“323 kere 442 kaç yapar?” diye sordu dayısı durduk yerde.

“142.766” diye cevap verdi Engin sıkkın bir tonla.

“O kadar da değil. Kafadan atıp söylüyorsun” dedi Rıfat. Coşkulu, neşeli bir adamdı, doğduğundan beri iki çocuğunun yanı sıra Engin’e de babalık yapmıştı.

“Sağlamasını yapıp da söyledim” dedi Engin.

“Nurperi bu çocuğu yetimhaneden almış olmasın, anasına benzememiş, zehir gibi çünkü bu” dedi Rıfat.

“Nurperi’yi çocukluğundan beri kıskanırsın, küçük kardeşin büyüğünü kıskandığını ben sende gördüm” dedi Kudret Hanım.

Doktor Engin’i muayene edip bir şikâyeti olup olmadığını sormuş, herhangi bir test yapmaya gerek duymadan “soyaçekim” diyerek işin içinden çıkmıştı. Kudret Hanım ile Rıfat, Engin’in babasının kim olduğunu bilmediğinden mecburen doktorun bu teşhisini doğru kabul etmişlerdi.

Dönüş yolunda şiddetli bir yağmur bastırmış, bu durum Engin’in içinin sevinçle dolmasına yol açmıştı; yolun kıyısından akan suların oluşturdukları girdapları, Chevrolet’nin sileceklerinin ön camdaki suları silmeye yetişememesini ilgiyle izliyordu. Konağın bahçesine girdikleri sırada yağmur kesildi.

Engin dayısının oğlu Kemal ile birlikte konağın yaslandığı tepenin zirvesindeki çimenliğe gökkuşağını izlemeye gitti. Yağmurun ardından açan güneşle birlikte ortaya çıkan ıslak toprak ve çimen kokusunu severdi. Nefesleriyle ahırları dört ayaklı birer soba gibi ısıtan inekleri, kümeslerine girip yeni yumurtladıkları sıcak yumurtalarını aldıkları tavukları, zincirini koparırcasına çekiştirip durmaksızın havlayan kurt köpeğini, arkadaşı, sırdaşı ve kuzeni Kemal’i de severdi. Ama içinde hiç dolmayan bir boşluk, yüreğinde adını koyamadığı bir hasret vardı. Tepeye çıkana kadar gökkuşağı kaybolmuş, ıslanmış uzun çimler nedeniyle pantolonları dizlerine kadar ıslanmıştı. “İki kanadımız olsa şimdi buradan dereye kadar süzülürdük” dedi Kemal. Ardından tepedeki çimenlikten aşağıya doğru koşmaya ve koşarken zıplamaya başladı. O kadar hızlı koşuyordu ki çok geçmeden yuvarlandı, bir süre düştüğü yerde kaldı, ardından kalkıp üzerini silkelemeye başladı. Kemal yeniden yukarıya tırmanıp yanına geldiğinde “Kanatsız da uçuyorsun sen” dedi Engin.

Hava karardıktan sonra Engin boynuna astığı dürbünden bozma teleskobuyla yeniden tepedeki çimenliğe doğru yürümeye başladı. Bu kez yanında Kemal yoktu. Engin yıldızlara uzun uzun baktığından ona eşlik ettiğinde sıkıntıdan patlıyordu. Hava öylesine duru ve gökyüzünde yıldızlar o denli parlaktı ki fenere ihtiyaç duymadan önündeki patika yolu rahatlıkla seçebiliyordu. Tepeye ulaşmadan önceki son virajda karşısına ortalığı bir fener alayı gibi aydınlatan ateş böcekleri çıktı. Daha önce hiç bu kadar fazla ateş böceğini bir arada görmemişti. Aniden atılarak bir tanesini yakalamaya çalıştı. Ateş böceğine dokunduğunda hiç beklemediği bir olay gerçekleşti: Eli yandı. Yanındaki ağacın dalından kopardığı ıslak bir yaprağı avcunun içine merhemmiş gibi sürerek yoluna devam etti. Gökyüzünde kimi kırmızıya, kimi maviye çalan irili ufaklı binlerce yıldız vardı, Engin’i en çok da samanyolunun görüntüsü etkiliyordu.

Tepeye ulaştığında kendisi sırt üstü çimlerin üzerine bırakıp teleskopuyla gökyüzünü izlemeye başladı. Yaptığı rastgele bir gözlem değildi. Havanın açık olduğu akşamlarda gökyüzünün belirli bir bölgesini tarıyor, özellikle parlak yıldızlara dakikalarca bakıyordu. Bazen aynen kendisinin parlak yıldızları incelemesi gibi, uzaydan birilerinin de dünyayı seyrettiği duygusuna kapılıyordu. Gün içinde kendisini en iyi hissettiği dönem yıldızlarla adeta koyun koyuna geçirdiği bu zaman dilimiydi. O gece gördüğü ilk yıldız kaymasının ardından kalkıp evin yolunu tuttu, gece yarısını geçirdiğinde anneannesi kızabiliyordu.

Konağa vardığında herkes yatmıştı, girişteki idare lambasının yanından geçip ahşap merdivenlerden yukarı çıkmaya başladı. Üst katta yanan tek gaz lambasının ışığında kuzeninin de yattığı arka odaya girdi. El alışkanlığıyla pijamalarını bulup üzerine giydi ve yatağına yattı. Ortalık o denli sessizdi ki gecenin içinde sadece ahşap çıtırtıları ve uzaklardan gelen kurt ulumaları duyuluyordu. Babasının kim olduğunu ve onu neden terk ettiğini düşünürken yatağının yün kokulu sıcaklığı içinde derin bir uykuya daldı.

Bölüm 2

İsmran federasyonu samanyolunun merkezine yakın bir noktada doğarak zamanla Güneş sisteminin de bulunduğu dış kollara kadar uzanabilecek teknolojiye ulaşmıştı. Federasyonun ismi bilinçli yaşamın birbirlerinden bağımsız olarak geliştiği 6 ayrı gezegenin ilk harflerinden oluşuyordu. Yıldızlararası seyahati başaran ilk başaran uygarlık olan İona gezegeni sakinleri diğer gezegenlerdeki canlıları da bilimsel bilgiyle donatmış, öte yandan gelişen süreçte olası bir savaşı önleyecek güç farkını kendi lehlerine koruma becerisini göstermişti. İsmran federasyonu üyeleri, aralarındaki biyolojik ve kültürel farkları bilimin evrensel birleştiriciliğiyle dengeleyerek hızlı bir gelişim göstermişlerdi.

180 bin yıl kadar önce üzerindeki canlılardan örnekler almak üzere dünyaya robotlarını gönderdiler. Proje bilimsel olmaktan çok eğlence amaçlıydı, zira o sırada İsmran uygarlığı bilimde öylesine ileri gitmişti ki zamanda yolculuk yapabiliyor ve ışık hızının binlerce kat üzerinde seyahat edebiliyorlardı.

Dünyaya gönderilen İsmran robotları, Sibirya’da 25 kilometrekare taban alanına sahip bir fanus ürettiler ve bu dev yapıyı Kuzey Buz Denizi üzerinden uçurarak Kuzey Avrupa’ya getirdiler. Robotlar 14 ailenin bulunduğu bir avcı-toplayıcı klanı o sıralar konakladıkları Norveç kırsalında gözlerine kestirdiler. Onları altlarındaki toprak ve çevrelerindeki tüm canlılarla birlikte Sibirya’da ürettikleri fanusun içine koyup uzaya taşıdılar. Atmosfer basıncı, yerçekimi, hava, güneş ışığı, mevsimler gibi öğeler fanusun bağlı olduğu bilgisayar tarafından kontrol edildiğinden avcı-toplayıcılar durumu uzunca bir süre fark etmediler bile. İsmran uygarlığı halkları iki ayakları üzerinde yürüyen bu gelişmiş maymunları çok sempatik buldu, hayatlarını ve birbirleriyle etkileşimlerini konu alan belgesel reality show karışımı yapımlar uzunca bir süre izlenme rekorları kırdı. Ancak çevre savunucuları daha önce bir gezegenin üzerinde serbestçe dolaşan canlıların uçtan uca bir saatte yürünebilen bir fanus içinde yaşamasına karşı çıktılar. Daha en başında bu ekosistemin dünyadan alınıp getirilmelerinin gereksiz olduğunu savunanlar da oldu ki yüzde yüz haklıydılar. Geri götürülüp aldıkları yere konulmaları söz konusu olamazdı çünkü açılan çukurda çoktan yeni canlılar yaşamaya başlamıştı. Uzun tartışmaların ardından fanustakilerin üzerinde yaşam olmayan bir başka gezegene yerleştirilmesi kararlaştırıldı.

İsmran uygarlığında gezegen mühendisliği öyle ilerlemişti ki dünyaya 39 ışık yılı uzaklıktaki ZSN-314 yıldızının çevresinde dolaşan ZSNP-5 gezegeninin dünyaya benzetilmesi bir yıl bile sürmedi. Fanusun içindeki canılar bu gezegene nakledildi ve insanlık henüz uzay yolcuğunu keşfetmeden ikinci bir gezegende kolonileşmiş oldu. İsmran uygarlığı hızla gelişmeye devam etti, bir milyonu aşkın yeni galaksiye yayıldıktan sonra, yeni ulaşılan galaksilerin diğerlerine benzediğine, evrenimizin sıkıcı bir yer olduğuna karar verdiler. İsmran uygarlığı ısrarlı bir biçimde başka evrenlerin varlığını araştırmış ancak somut bir sonuca ulaşamamıştı. Binlerce yıldır ağ üzerinde birer enerji paketi olarak hayatını sürdüren İsmran bireyleri meşgul olabilecekleri yeni bir şey olmadığı için kitleler halinde varlıklarına son vermeye başladılar. Neyse ki bir kara deliğin olay ufkunda yaşayan bir İsmran kolonisi evrenimizdekilerden onlarca kat karmaşık formlar ortaya çıkmasını sağlayacak kararlı yeni bir evrenin fizik kurallarını ortaya çıkarabilirdi. Galaksinin merkezindeki dev karadeliğin içinde yeni evren oluşturuldu, İsmran uygarlığı halkları kendi oluşturdukları bu yeni evrene göç ettiler. Bu arada ZSNP-5 gezegenindeki insanlar çoktan unutulmuştu.

ZSNP-5 gezegeni dünyaya kıyasla biraz daha küçük ve soğuktu. Gezegen M-tipi cüce bir yıldız olan ZSN-314’in çevresindeki dönüşünü 8 günde tamamlıyordu. Gezegenin yıldızına olan mesafesi dünya ile güneş arasındaki mesafenin otuzda biriydi. Bu nedenle avcı toplayıcı kuzenlerimiz ZNSP-5’e ilk bırakıldıklarında gezegenin göğünde kıpkırmızı iri bir güneş görerek büyük bir korkuya kapılmışlardı. Yerçekiminin dünyadakinin üçte ikisi kadar olduğunu da hemen fark etmişler, çocuklar oldukları yerde keyifle zıplamaya, büyükler ise korku içinde gökteki ruhlara dua etmeye başlamışlardı.

ZNSP-5 gezegeninin yeni sakinleri homo sapiens türünün eşsiz uyum yeteneği sayesinde beş bin yıl gibi sürede tüm gezegeni doldurmuştu. Yerçekiminin görece az olması nedeniyle boylarının zaman uzun içinde uzaması dışında dünyadakine paralel bir evrim sürecinden geçmişlerdi. Dünyadaki kuzenlerine kıyasla üç yüzyıl kadar önce uzaya çıkabilmiş ve dünyayı keşfettiklerinde büyük bir heyecana kapılmışlardı. Ingo personel değerlendirme kurulunun yaptığı oylamada dünyaya yapılacak ilk keşif seferine katılmasına karar verilen son personeldi. Olağanüstü zekâsı ve sıradışı askeri yeteneklerine rağmen sorumsuz bir kişiliğe sahip olması üyelerde tereddüt yaratmıştı. Ingo’nun mürettebata dahil edilmesini savunanlar zorlu dünya yolculuğunda böylesine gözüpek ve risk alabilen bir kişinin ekibe fayda sağlayacağını düşünmüşlerdi. Ne de olsa mürettebatın sıradan bir üyesi olacaktı ve yıldız gemisi kaptanı Ostania’nın yüksek disiplinli yönetimi altında zararlı bir eylem gerçekleştiremezdi. Işık hızının yüzde altmışına ulaşabilen yıldız gemisinde mürettebat derin bir uykuya dalmış ve güneş sistemine yaklaşıldığında uykudan sağlıklı bir biçimde uyanmıştı.

Yıldız gemisinden havalanan Dostluk adındaki mekik binbir türlü aksiliğin yaşandığı bir iniş serüveni sonrasında Türkiye’nin Sovyetler birliği sınırına yakın bir bölgeye zorunlu iniş yapmıştı. Görünmezlik özelliği sayesinde Nato ve Sovyetler Birliği radarlarına yakalanmayan araç yere iner inmez Kaçkar dağlarının eteklerindeki bir çam ormanının içine gizlenmişti. Burada dünyadaki radyolar dinlenmeye, yer kabuğu, atmosfer özellikleri ve canlılar araştırılmaya başlanmıştı. Bir yandan iniş süresince sondada oluşan hasarlar tamir edilirken, diğer yandan dünya hakkında veri toplanıyordu.

Uzay yolculuğu sırasında düzene harfiyen uymak zorunda kalan Ingo dünyaya indikten sonra bir parça rahatlamıştı. İniş ekinin başkanı bir jeoloji profesörüydü. Prof. Sekula asker kökenli komutan Ostania’nın her dakikası planlanmış çalışma anlayışı yerine esnekliğe ve yaratıcılığa da yer bırakan bir yönetim tarzı benimsemişti. 1.98 boyuyla ZNSP-5 gezegeni ölçülerine göre kısa boylu bir adam Ingo dünyalıların kültürlerini çıplak gözle izlemek için yakındaki köyü gizlice gözetleyecekti. İnsanlarla teması kesinlikle yasaktı, eğer kaza eseri fark edilirse görünmezlik giysisini aktif hale getirerek derhal mekiğe dönecekti. Aksi bir davranış tüm seferi tehlikeye atabilirdi.

Köyü gözetlemeye başlamasının ikinci gününde köyün üst yamacında çiçek toplayan bir genç kız gördü. Kıyafetleri köydeki kızlara pek benzemiyordu, kent kökenli olması muhtemeldi. Kızdan hoşlanmıştı, onunla etkileşime girerse dünya kültürünü çok daha yakından tanıma fırsatı yakalayabilirdi. Bu elbette kendisinin bile inanmadığı bir bahaneydi, Ingo çapkın bir adamdı ve yıldız gemisinde komutan Ostania ona göz açtırmamıştı. Geminin ana bilgisayarı birçok dünya dili gibi Türkçe’yi de bir haftaya kalmadan öğrendi ve personelin beyinlerine gömülü çipler üzerinde bir servis olarak yayınladı. Ingo ertesi gün Nurperi’nin karşısına elinde bir demet çiçekle çıkıverdi. Beynindeki çipin yardımıyla ona Norveçli bir gezgin olduğunu, bu dağları kendi ülkesine çok benzediğini için sevdiğini söyledi. Söylediği aslında bir bakıma doğruydu, ataları 180 bin yıl önce Norveç’ten ZNSP-5’e götürülmüştü.

Nurperi böylesi bir davranış karşısında biraz korktu, hatta ilk anda kaçmayı düşündü, ama bunun kendisini bir aptal gibi göstereceğinden endişe ettiği için yerinden kmıldamadı. Birkaç saniye sonra böylesine komik bir aksanla konuşan ve sürekli sırıtan bir adamdan zarar gelmeyeceğine karar verdi ve “Türk erkekleri tanımadıkları bir kıza çiçek vermezler, bu bizim kültürümüzde ayıp karşılanır” dedi.

Ingrum “Özür dilerim”, diyerek çiçekleri Nurperi’nin elinden almaya yeltendi. Nurperi bu tuhaf davranış karşısında kendisini gülmekten alıkoyamadı. Bunun üzerine Ingrum çiçeği vermenin yanı sıra almanın da yanlış olduğunu anlayarak girişiminden vazgeçti.

Nurperi “Her gezdiğin yerin dilini öğrenir misin?” diye sordu.

“Dil öğrenmeye yatkınım galiba” dedi Ingo.

“Dilersen seni köy ahalisiyle tanıştırabilirim” dedi Nurperi.

Ingo bir anda telaşa kapılarak, “Aslında utangaç bir insanım, senin karşına çıkma cesaretini nasıl gösterdim bilmiyorum, senden zarar gelmeyeceğini düşündüm herhalde” dedi.

“Dev gibi adamsın, birilerinden korkman ilginç aslında” dedi Nurperi şaşırarak.

“Birkaç gün daha buralardayım, varlığımdan kimseye söz etmezsen sevinirim, Türkçe bildiğimi öğrenince birçok insan evine davet ediyor, ben de kimseyi kırmak istemiyorum” dedi Ingo.

Nurperi ile Ingo üçüncü kez gizlice buluştuklarında önce öpüştüler, ardından Ingrum’un ormandaki çadırında gençlik heyecanının coşkusuyla seviştiler. Her ikisi açısından da bir oyun gibi başlayan ilişki kısa zaman içinde gezegenler arası bir aşka dönüşmüştü.

Birkaç gün sonra mekik üzerindeki tamir işlemleri tamamlandı ve kalkış hazırlıkları planlanan zamandan önce başlatıldı. Dünyadaki yüksek yerçekimi ekibi yormuş, Prof. Sekula hazır uygun hava koşullarını bulmuşken bir an önce havalanmak istemişti.

Ingo Nurperi ile vedalaşmak için köye gitti, görünmezlik giysisini aktive hale getirerek köyün içlerine kadar girdi ancak onu ne evinde ne de başka bir yerde bulamadı.

ZNSP-5 gezegenine döndükten sonra Ingo Nurperi’yi uzun süre aklından çıkaramadı ama Nurperi’nin hamile kalmış olmasına ihtimal vermiyordu çünkü ilişkiden sonra ona gebeliği önleyici bir ilaç vermişti. İlaç bir biçimde işe yaramamış, milyonlarca kilometre ötede bir çocuğu olmuştu. Ne Ingrum ne de Nurperi yaşadıklarını kimseye anlatmamış, ZNSP-5 gezegeninde aniden patlak veren savaş dünyaya 30 yıl daha yeni bir sefer yapılmaması sonucunu doğurmuştu. Ingrum zamanla elbette Nurperi’yi unutmuş, çapkınlıklarına 72 yaşında beyin kanamasından ölene kadar devam etmişti.

Nurperi 96 yaşına kadar yaşayan Kudret Hanım’ın koruyucu kanatları altında kendi halinde bir yaşam sürdü. Engin ise sonradan içlerinde ZSNP-5 gezegeninin de bulunduğu birçok yaşanabilir gezegeni keşfeden dünya çapında bir astronom oldu.
