Herring under a fur coat in the form of a cake

Cooking time 20 minutes.

Salad ingredients


  • Carrot 1-2 pieces
  • Potato 3 pieces
  • Eggs 2 pieces
  • Herring fillet 300 g
  • Onion 1 piece
  • Mayonnaise taste

Mousse ingredients

  • Beet 3 pieces
  • Gelatin 22 g
  • Water 100 ml
  • Salt taste
  • Ground black pepper taste
  • Mayonnaise 1 tbsp. the spoon
  • Cream 200 ml

Preparation



One. Boil the beets until cooked in about 2 hours, carrots in 30 minutes, potatoes in 20-25 minutes, eggs in 10 minutes. Cool and grate on a coarse grater.

2 ․ Cut the fillet into small pieces. Chop the onion.

3 ․ Put herring and onion, potatoes, carrots, eggs in layers on a plate or dish through the ring. Grease each layer with mayonnaise.

  1. Leave the salad in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

  2. Stir gelatin with cold water and leave for 30 minutes. Then heat in a water bath, stirring constantly.

Don't overheat the gelatin.

6 ․ Puree the beets with a blender. Mix with salt, pepper and mayonnaise. Pour in the cream and whisk again with a blender.

7 ․ Add gelatin to the beets and whisk again. Leave the mousse in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes.

  1. From the salad, remove the ring through which you laid it out. Instead, install a split ring of a larger diameter so that there are gaps between its walls and the salad.

nine. Fill the space between the ring and lettuce with mousse and apply it on top. Flatten.

ten. Leave the prepared salad in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight. Remove the ring carefully before serving.
