God's Instruction

God appeared to several people at several times to introduce Himself to them. He appeared to Abraham in Genesis 17: 1 and introduced himself as The Almighty God– Elshaddai. There are realms of possibilities a man can walk in only after God, through a personal encounter, has introduced a particular dimension of Himself to such a man. When God told Abraham to walk before Him and be perfect, He was telling Abraham to walk in the revelation of Himself that He had given him.

Daniel 11:32 says: The people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. Exploit is for those that do know their God, not those that merely know God. You do exploits not just because you know God but because you know your God. A man can know God generally and still be unable to do exploit. When a particular dimension of God has been revealed to you, that makes God personal to you; then you become a man of exploits.

When God introduced Himself to Abraham at the age of 99 as the Almighty, he was still childless according to the promise. But immediately after that introduction as the Almighty- the One who can do all things, at all times, at all places- Abraham found it easy to believe and receive a son at the age of 100. The Elshaddai introduced Himself as such and that met Abraham's need. The Almighty God is the One whom Abraham's age and other natural factors cannot inhibit in performance. He said to Abraham in Genesis 18: 14: Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

When God introduced Himself to Moses, He said, ..."I am Yahweh—'the LORD.'I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as El-Shaddai—'God Almighty'—but I did not reveal my name, Yahweh, to them. Exodus 6:2-3 (NLT). God’s introduction to Moses was different. Moses was about to confront Pharaoh – a man who was as at then feared as the lord of the entire known world, and who had held God's people captive for decades. At that time, Moses was hiding in the wilderness because he fled from ‘lord Pharaoh’. Therefore, God introduced Himself to him as 'The Real LORD'. It was with the revelation of Jehovah as The LORD that Moses could face Pharaoh and show him that he had met the LORD who is greater than him. That was what enabled Moses for the mighty works he did against Pharaoh and Egypt.

Today, ask God to introduce Himself to you with a unique revelation that will become your power-tool for fulfilment of destiny.

• Ask God for an encounter that will introduce God anew to you.

• Ask God to introduce Himself to your peculiar situation.

• Ask the Lord to reign in your life and over all that is claiming to be your lord.
