The insanely High Price of Bitcoin
Imagine if you had 168$ to spend and in order to complete that transaction there were so many fees along the way that you ended up with 150$ at the end of the transactions. that is how much it takes to send BTC from Cex.io to HitBTC.com and then to make one purchase on Hitbtc.com. Yes, they charge you on both ends, every step of the way.
This is clearly not serving the purpose it was meant to. Remember the good old days when it was a "peer-to-peer" currency that didn't have taxes or fees because there was no central bank. It's so expensive now and it's not liquid at all, its easy to buy (kind of - Americans have it tougher) but it's so impossible to turn it back into cash. It's ending up showing us that even when we try to engineer it otherwise, the central bank does serve its purpose. The central bank prevents fluctuations for starters.
