The Spirit of Acehnese Fishermen amidst the Pressure of the Covid-19 Pandemic

Although the corona outbreak or Covid-19 which has been endemic in various countries including Indonesia, one of them. In particular the people in Aceh continued to carry out their activities as usual, as if they did not care about the corona outbreak.

According to one of the communities that I found on the edge of Lhokseumawe beach, if they do not do the activities as usual, then their needs will be soured and can not provide for their families. This is the reason why fishermen in Aceh still go to sea to look for fish despite the Corona virus outbreak.

As you can see in my photo, an old fisherman is lifting his boat who is going out to sea in the

morning in the morning. Even though he is no longer young, his enthusiasm for struggling to make a living for his family's needs is extraordinary.

I once asked the old fisherman, why does he still go to sea in this condition? The answer is as I wrote in the paragraph above. If he does not work as a fisherman and look for fish in the sea. Then he could not meet the economic needs of his family. He hoped that this situation would end soon and be as normal as usual.
