Hornets insect

Hornets are very similar to wasps in the sense that they live in paper nests in vast colonies mainly populated by sterile worker drones. However, unlike wasps they tend to survive on a diet of insects and they have been known to eat spiders as well. Sometimes, these creatures will supplement their diet with tree sap and wild fruit but they tend to prefer a carnivorous diet. Despite the fact that hornets have a reputation for aggression, they tend to be fairly docile insects which will only sting if they are attacked.

  Lacewing / Chrysopidae

Lacewings are bright green insects with powerful appetites. They can usually be seen resting on leaves where aphids are gathering as the aphid forms the bulk of the lacewing diet. Lacewings are known for being so effective at destroying aphid populations that they are sometimes sold as biological pest controls.
