Let me share with your my view on gold price. Summary: USD index is turning down, that might help precious metals prices over the next couple of months.

If inflationary metrics start to turn higher given the economy in the US, we may have a much high jump as inflationary fears are much quicker than other moves historically.
I think you are right. And the wages seems to start growing as well, they might also add to inflation a bit.
