GENOTYPE

A genotype is the whole of genetic constitution of an individual, it is the genetic makeup of an organism or group of organisms with reference to a single trait, set of traits, or an entire complex of traits. So, your genotype is the sum total of genes transmitted from your parents to you..
TYPES OF GENOTYPE.
1. AA
They are prone to malaria sickness at early ages, this is the safest genotype to marry as they can marry anyone without complications. Sickle cell starts when blood vessel is blocked, which inhibit the flow of oxygen.
2. AS
This genotype cannot marry any other genotype except AA to avoid having unhealthy offsprings.
3. AC
This genotype is not so common and popular, it is not advisable to marry anyone else except AA.
4. SS
This is an abnormal genotype like AC, they are the Sickle Cell.
5. CC
6. SC

It is very important to know one's and partner's genotype
People with sickle cells experience lots of pains in their body parts where oxygen flows is compromised due to blockage in the blood vessel.
When you know your genotype before getting married, your children won't have Sickle Cell Anaemia.
Know your partner's genotype because their might be compatibility issues that are devastating when it comes to conception.
Let's join hands together and say no to Sickle Cell Anaemia because those children experience pains. Why should we bring our own children to the world when we know we wanna make them suffer.
Know your genotype, its very important and know your partner's too and remember that AA is the Safest genotype any other genotype can marry.
