The name of Aceh's traditional clothing is Ulee Balang. Like traditional clothes in general, Acehnese traditional clothing shows the unique customs that are applied in the Special Region of Aceh. According to the article I read, the specialty of Aceh's traditional clothing is one of the important things that distinguishes it from other traditional clothing. And Acehnese traditional clothing is a blend of Malay culture and Islamic culture.

At first, this Ulee Balang was only used by the imperial family. But today, anyone can wear this shirt. Ulee Balang traditional clothing has two types of clothing, namely Linto Baro which is used by Acehnese bridegrooms, and Daro Baro which is used by Acehnese brides. I am one of those people who often wears this outfit because when I was in high school, I often took part in various dance competitions, and I was a member of a dance studio in my area.

Apart from being used for wedding procession ceremonies. Acehnese traditional clothing is also often used in traditional events and traditional dances. I often wear this shirt. It is because I take part in traditional dance competitions. And my dance partner often brings home trophies for our hard work. I also used to be a dance teacher in the area where I live.

In my opinion, the traditional clothes in our area are so unique and also very beautiful when worn. In addition to covering the curves of the body when worn, these clothes are also designed with plant motifs that are so beautiful and also have an implied meaning, namely the meaning of fertility, growth, or togetherness.

People who wear it are expected to get sustenance in their life. According to the article I read, this Acehnese traditional dress has existed since the time of the Aceh Darussalam kingdom. At that time, these clothes were only worn by the royal family. The price can reach millions of rupiah.
