This time I want to re-share a little post about one of the typical jewelry of Aceh Pinto Aceh jewelry.
Jewelry Pinto Aceh, which means the gate of Aceh is one of Aceh jewelry that has been known to the international country. From the various types of typical jewelry of Aceh that exist, Pinto Aceh is a type of jewelry that is still in great demand until now by the jewelry lovers in Indonesia.
From the beginning of this jewelry was created about 82 years ago or around 1935 and until now Pinto Aceh is still a jewelry that attracts attention to have, So no wonder more and more fans. Not only for Aceh women themselves, even women from outside Aceh have become fans of this type of jewelry. Not even a few outsiders who visited Aceh bought one of the jewelry that motivated Pinto Aceh. So do not be surprised if this jewelry became an idol for collecting jewelry.
Indeed, the type of Pinto Aceh is a jewelry that gets more attention from jewelry hunters. But that does not mean the other traditional Acehnese jewelers do not get the heart of the jewelers. There are still some types of Aceh jewelry that is not less beautiful than Pinto Aceh motifs such as Boh Dokma jewelry, Bieng Meuh, Tampak Kupiah, Eumpeut, Azimat dsn there are still some other types of jewelry that is also interesting untum owned.
But the existence of these jewelry is hard to find, due to the increasing reflux of Aceh's gold wrought arts skills and the lack of skill of the successor golden generation in making jewelry of this type.
Pinto Aceh motive was originally created for women's chest jewelry brooch. But over the development of the Pinto Aceh motif era continues to be developed into various other forms of jewelry. Such as bracelets, rings, braids, ribs, necklaces and various other forms.
Pinto Aceh jewelry was inspired from the shape of Pinto Khop. Pinto Khop is a monument or heritage building Sultan Iskandar Muda which is the gate of the palace palace of Aceh Darussalam Sultanate which is also called Ghairah or Bustanussalatin park name.
According to the history of khop is the door to the rear of the Keraton Aceh which is intended for the entrance of the empress of Sultan Iskandar Muda. Since 1926 the jewelry of Pinto Aceh's motif has actually existed. That happened when the Dutch colonial government made a night market event held on the Esplanade (now known as Blangpadang Field). At the event the Dutch government invited all gold craftsmen in Aceh to open booths and show their expertise in making jewelry crafts.
After the night market event was over, there was one of the gold craftsmen who received an award from the Dutch colonial government for the craft. The man was named Mahmud Ibrahim, at that time he was famous for his skill in the art of forging gold. Because of his predicate he is also often called by Utoh Mud. In the Acehnese language for someone who is good at menukangi a field called by Utoh (Utoh means dabster).
Since that time the gold craftsmen from Aceh are increasingly known by the Acehnese high officials to the Dutch Colonial Government officials. Because of the skills and expertise it has, these gold craftsmen often get orders from Dutch officials to their families.
Raw materials for making jewelry Pinto Aceh is usually using 18 to 22 carat gold, it is because for a more solid gold. Because if you use 24 carat pure gold will make the gold easily folded and bent.

Kali ini saya ingin membagikan kembali sedikit postingan tentang salah satu perhiasan khas Aceh yaitu perhiasan Pinto Aceh.
Perhiasan Pinto Aceh yang berarti Pintu Aceh merupakan salah satu jenis perhiasan Aceh yang telah dikenal sampai ke kanca Internasional. Dari berbagai jenis perhiasan khas Aceh yang ada, Pinto Aceh merupakan jenis perhiasan yang masih sangat diminati sampai dengan saat ini oleh para pencinta perhiasan di Indonesia.
Sejak awal diciptakan perhiasan ini sekitar 82 tahun silam atau sekitar tahun 1935 dan sampai sekarang Pinto Aceh masih menjadi perhiasan yang menarik perhatian untuk dimiliki, Jadi tidak heran semakin banyak penggemarnya. Tidak hanya bagi wanita Aceh sendiri, bahkan wanita-wanita dari luar Aceh pun telah menjadi penggemar perhiasan jenis ini. Bahkan tidak sedikit orang luar yang berkunjung ke Aceh membeli salah satu perhiasan yang bermotifkan Pinto Aceh. Maka tidak heran apabila perhiasan ini menjadi idola bagi pengkoleksi perhiasan.
Memang jenis Pinto Aceh merupakan perhiasan yang mendapatkan perhatian lebih dari para pemburu perhiasan. Tapi bukan berarti perhiasa-perhiasan tradisional Aceh yang lainnya tidak mendapat tempat dihati para pemburu perhiasan. Masih ada beberapa jenis perhiasan Aceh yang tidak kalah indah dari motif Pinto Aceh seperti perhiasan Boh Dokma, Bieng Meuh, Tampak Kupiah, Eumpeut, Azimat dsn masih ada beberapa lagi jenis perhiasan lainnya yang juga menarik untum dimiliki.
Namun keberadaan perhiasan-perhiasan tersebut sudah susah ditemui, dikarenakan semakin surutnya keterampilan seni tempa emas Aceh dan kurang mahirnya tukang emas generasi penerus dalam membuat perhiasan jenis tersebut.
Motif Pinto Aceh awalnya diciptakan untuk bros perhiasan dada kaum perempuan. Namun seiring perkembangan zaman motif Pinto Aceh terus dikembangkan menjadi berbagai bentuk perhiasan lainnya. Seperti gelang, cincin, subang, tusuk sanggul, kalung dan berbagai bentuk lainnya.
Perhiasan Pinto Aceh dibuat terinspirasi dari bentuk Pinto Khop. Pinto Khop adalah monumen atau bangunan peninggalan Sultan Iskandar Muda yang merupakan pintu taman istana Kesultanan Aceh Darussalam yang disebut juga dengan nama taman Ghairah atau Bustanussalatin.
Menurut riwayat pinto khop adalah pintu bagian belakang Keraton Aceh yang diperuntukan untuk pintu keluar masuknya permaisuri dari Sultan Iskandar Muda. Sejak tahun 1926 perhiasan motif Pinto Aceh sebenarnya sudah pernah ada. Itu terjadi ketika pemerintah kolonial belanda membuat acara pasar malam yang digelar di Esplanade ( sekarang dikenal dengan Lapangan Blangpadang). Pada acara itu pemerintah belanda mengundang seluruh pengrajin emas yang ada di Aceh untuk membuka stand dan menunjukan keahlian mereka dalam membuat kerajinan perhiasan.
Setelah acara pasar malam itu selesai, ada seorang dari para pengrajin emas yang mendapatkan penghargaan dari pemerintah kolonial belanda untuk hasil kerajinannya. Orang itu bernama Mahmud Ibrahim, pada masa itu beliau memang terkenal akan keahliannya dalam seni menempa emas. Karena predikat yang disandangnya itu beliau juga sering dipanggil dengan nama Utoh Mud. Dalam bahasa Aceh untuk seseorang yang pandai menukangi suatu bidang dipanggil dengan sebutan Utoh (Utoh artinya Tukang).
Sejak saat itu pengrajin emas dari Aceh semakin dikenal oleh petinggi-petinggi Aceh hingga pejabat-pejabat Pemerintah Kolonial Belanda. Karena keterampilan dan keahlian yang dimilikinya para pengrajin emas ini sering mendapatkan orderan dari para pejabat Belanda hingga keluarganya.
Bahan baku untuk membuat perhiasan Pinto Aceh ini biasanya menggunakan emas berkadar 18 hingga 22 karat, itu dikarenakan agar emasnya lebih kokoh. Sebab apabila menggunakan emas murni berkadar 24 karat akan membuat emasnya mudah terlipat dan bengkok.
