Light Behind the Fog
However, Danu is never afraid. For him, fog is a magical world that hides secrets.
One morning, Danu woke up earlier than usual. He felt something different in the air. After breakfast, he took his grandmother's old oil lamp and walked outside. "Be careful, son," Mrs. Sari said while embroidering on the veranda.
Danu walked towards the small forest at the edge of the village. He wanted to find the source of the strange light that he saw last night sparkling behind the fog from his bedroom window. The deeper he walked, the thicker the fog around him. Suddenly, he heard a soft voice, like singing.
Armed with courage, Danu followed the voice until he reached a large tree with roots that spread like a giant's embrace. Under the tree, he saw a small ball of light, floating slowly in the air. The light moved closer to him, as if inviting him to follow.
"Thank you for finding me," the fairy said in a soft voice. "I have been trapped here for years because of the fog. You have brought me light."
Danu smiled. He understood that the old oil lamp he had brought was a guide for the fairy. "What can I do to help you get home?" Danu asked.
The fairy replied, "Take me back to the top of the hill at the end of the village. From there, I can fly back to the sky."
Without hesitation, Danu took the fairy to the hill in question. The journey was not easy, but Danu remained persistent. When they reached the top, the fog began to fade, and the fairy turned back into bright light. "Thank you, Danu. Your kindness will bring blessings to this village," the fairy said before flying into the sky, leaving a thin rainbow trail.
Since that day, Danu's village became brighter, even during the rainy season. The fog still came, but never covered the warm sunlight. And Danu, the brave little boy, was known as the bringer of light behind the fog.
