Happiness Chemicals Life hacks - Part 2

Happiness Chemical Hacks is nothing but all about managing the hormones in our body, which overall regulates the energy flow in our body. The energy that we build up for our internal systems reflect on our overall physical and mental health. That energy gets built up from the diet we eat and our lifestyle, our habits. It is nothing that works in singularity, everything is interconnected.

In Part 1 I wrote about 1 of the hormones Dopamine. Here I am not giving any scientific explanations, nor the reverse side of it. I am only posing the ways in which we can boost these hormones for an overall optimal health at all levels, i.e. physical, mental and emotional.

Serotonin
The mood enhancer. Since it is all about Moods, one needs to understand what activity gives them the best feeling, what helps in relaxing them and brightening up their mood. Nature is the best mood stabilizer, hence spending time in nature will help boost this hormone, also spending time in doing creative activities which suits one best will also enhance this hormone. Like for me, I enjoy making candles, working with crystals, meditation, or taking walks in nature and it really boost my levels.
If we go to see, spending time in nature will boost not only this particular hormone but all the hormones in the body.
So what sets your mood on the high tempo will work best for you in enhancing your hormone.

Endorphin
The Pain Management. When there is stress this gets released or even if there is any type of physical pain. An excess release of Endorphin drains out the energy so in physical terms one feels low on body energy and not equipped enough to handle the stress or the pain. As we say Pain and pleasure goes along. So what gives pleasure will boost the hormone, then it can be foods, but this is a tricky one. Sometimes the most unhealthy foods give a lot of pleasure so do not fall into that trap, because that only will be a temporary surge. Dark chocolates vs the regular ones will be a better choice. Watching a fun movie, or spending time out with friends dancing laughing. Anything that gives the right type of kick to the brain will allow the boost.

Oxytocin
Who does not want to feel Loved and who like lack of Love? No one right. All about the Love and the feeling of acceptance.
For me personally being with small children helps boost my Oxytocin to the best levels. Children radiate pure love and powerful positive energy to make wonders. But then there are other ways also. Warm Hugs, holding hands, playing with children, specially small babies, who with their smiles can brighten up your world, or spending time with your loved ones.

All the hormones are interconnected and nothing operates just by itself individually. Like when you are in love with someone your oxytocin will boost and when the love leads to sex the endorphin will boost, which will simultaneously work on your serotonin also.

On a day to day basis we need not keep thinking about these hormones, but yes when we energetically feel drained out, addicted to something strongly then we need to understand that somewhere in the body the chemicals are just not flowing rightly and that the change is required to bring in stability.

Spending time in nature, Meditation, Being with our Loved ones, Showing Gratitude, Appreciating life and every single thing in it, spending time in creativity are some natural practices that one needs to follow and if that is done we need not bother about these chemicals, they by themselves will harmonize and optimize.
