Photography for Steem: Am I really the only person to publicly accept digital currency for photography services in Portland Oregon?

For a week now, I've been doing my bi-weekly R&D and realized that none of my competitors accepts digital currency for photographic services. I specialize in Portraiture and Actor Headshots, and I've had a few purchases in the past accepting Bitcoin and Dash. Now, I've added STEEM into the mix!

In a way, I kinda want my competitors to start considering using digital currencies for their services, especially overseas. Years ago, I've discussed the subject of Bitcoin payments in the past to other photographers and much like pitching Steemit to writers, I was slammed with backtalk about being scammed or even accused of being a scammer simply by suggesting it! So, unfortunately, I stopped.

Today, it almost seem silly to say things like, "Bitcoin is 'funny money'" or "(digital currencies) have no real or tangible value" with a straight face. These days, the crypto buzzwords are zipping through the air like solar flares from the sun, but the reality is; people are afraid of change.

Time will tell

I don't know. Sometime's I feel like, what is the point trying to encourage people to consider trying something like Bitcoin? Or Steem for that matter? Is it too hard to grasp? There are currently countless youtube videos, websites, Tweets, Facebook and Steemit posts, in all types of languages, imagery and writing styles, that it's almost impossible not to grasp this concept!
