Snow is beautiful It bathes the world in a gorgeous white veil and silvery frost patterns.
But a thing of beauty is also a source of sorrow.
There is always another side to the coin !
Snow is ruthless. It is evil ! It kills and it tortures. It hides dangerous cracks and crevices.
The cold winter numbs the body and cracks the skin !!
It is the warmth of the fire at home and the hot broth that brings comfort in cold winter evenings.
For those who live in snowy regions, they know how harsh life gets in winters.
Through my painting Cold Tentacles, I wanted to express a realistic winter, without fantasising or glorifying the fairy-tale beauty of white winter !
I have attempted to capture the bare and naked "essence" of winter, in this.
The bare tree branches seem like cold tentacles of a cold, cold winter, fast spreading over every nook and cranny .
To weave a beautiful and deceptive gossamer veil of beautiful white !
