Does God really exist?
Does God really exist?
The answer that the Bible gives
The Bible provides compelling evidence that God exists. In addition, it teaches us that in order to cultivate faith in God we have to use our "intellectual capacity" instead of getting carried away by popular religious ideas (1 John 5:20; Romans 12: 1). Let's see some biblical arguments that demonstrate the existence of God.
The fact that there is order and life in our universe shows that someone created it. The Bible says: "Every house is built by someone, but he who has built all things is God" (Hebrews 3: 4). While it is true that this argument may sound very simple, many well-prepared people find it convincing. *
Human beings have a natural desire to find meaning in life, a desire that if we do not satisfy it leaves a huge void. That desire goes beyond physical needs and is part of what the Bible calls "spiritual need," which also includes the desire to know and worship God (Matthew 5: 3, Revelation [Revelation] 4:11). This spiritual need indicates that there is a God of love, someone who created us with that need so that we can satisfy it and be happy (Matthew 4: 4).
Many prophecies of the Bible were fulfilled even in the smallest detail centuries after they were written. The fact that they were fulfilled with such accuracy proves that they had no human origin (2 Peter 1:21).
The planet Earth seen from space
Those who wrote the Bible had some very advanced scientific knowledge for their time. For example, some ancient civilizations believed that the Earth was on an elephant, a boar, a bull or some other animal. In contrast, the Bible says that God is "hanging the earth on nothing" (Job 26: 7). In addition, when describing the shape of our planet, the Bible uses the word "circle" or "globe" (Isaiah 40:22, Martin Nieto). For many people, the most logical explanation for those biblical writers knowing these details is that God had to have revealed them to them.
The Bible answers many questions that are often asked by those who do not believe in God, such as: If God is good and all-powerful, why is there so much evil and suffering? Why has religion caused so many problems? (Titus 1:16.) The answers the Bible gives to these and other questions can help you believe in God.
Not just the bible, many sacred scripts. Even Islam cover many similar stories with the bible. Most religions stem from the man named Abraham, who had been asked to sacrifice his son isaac. Islam follows Ishmael's story more.
Its amazing how things stem to one root.
