Apple Show Companies First Augmented Reality Apps
You will either love or hate the idea of augmented reality apps at the moment. You may think that they look too gimmicky to become mainstream, but you have to admit... it looks interesting!
Augmented reality could be useful at times and some of the applications that they have been showing off are just that. Check out this!
These types of apps could be very useful and serve a lot of purpose in the daily life, especially for people with jobs such as interior decorators and movers. Imagine if you could open a catalogue on your phone for a furniture shop, and be able to pick an item of furniture of your choosing and then hold up your phone for it to display what that furniture would look like in your room.
Not only that, but lets also think about the fun you can have with these apps.
The types of games that can be made for these is endless!
Gaming apps have already begun to take shape as well, with developer Matthew Hallberg building a Minecraft AR app with ARKit and Unity. The app lets players place Minecraft blocks around their real-world environment, and then destroy what they've built with Minecraft's traditional crafting and destruction mechanics.

Here's a few other videos I found!
Here comes an article about augmented reality. Cool content! I will say that AR is all the way under-explored. According to some research, many tech firms put a lot of resources in virtual reality but seem not to invest much in AR. AR surely has a lot of various kinds of commercial applications, which make our life more digital!
Its defiantly interesting! Only time will tell how used it will be.
