E.Coli and Romaine Lettuce - Already killed several people - Stay safe
Escherichia coli or E.coli is a normal harmless bacteria which has multiple strains. E.coli is the part of normal flora in the digestive tract. Why I am writing about this Bacteria? Because recently E.coli outbreaks kills number of people in USA. Two types of E.coli is present:
- Harmless E.coli
- Harmful E.coli

Problem start with the harmful E.coli which a toxin called shiga toxin. Most common form of dangerous strains of E.coli is is E. Coli O157:H7 which produces Shiga toxin. There was a outbreak of shiga toxin back in 1992. That time carrier was undercooked beef. This time is E. Coli O157:H7 carrier is Romaine Lettuce

E.coli contaminated romaine lettuce causes an outbreak of illness across 19 states in USA. Total 84 people becomes sick due to E.coli contaminated romaine lettuce. It is reported that one person already died due to the contamination of Romaine Lettuce
