Thediarygame for 13th April, 2023: workout, Egg rolls, celebrations, explaining Steemit to potential users

It is said that when you rejoice with those who rejoice, then rejoicing will never seize in your life.

Those who celebrate others will themselves be celebrated.

Those who know me too well will remember that I love celebrating achievements and I also encourage those around me to do the same. Do you even know that meetups with fellow steemians attract newbies? Why do we have so many steemians in my city of residence? Well, there is no two ways about it that people are already stressed and they need to belong to a place where they can find joy and happiness and that is what meetups do.

That is the more reason why I don't joke with celebrations no matter how little.

This day was the day we already agreed on to celebrate @goodybest due to her numerous achievements on the blog. She recently achieved 6x dolphins 🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬 and because it takes consistency, it takes determination, it takes good friends around us and it takes appreciation of what we have to reach that feat, that is why I supported her to celebrate that.

In fact, I was part of those who arranged and organised the event. Take for instance, I took up the challenge of preparing egg rolls just for this occasion even when I haven't prepared it before, I had only prepared buns and not with egg but I had to try it out just to ensure the success of this event and it was awesome!

Additionally, I arranged for the venue that we used. We haven't used there before for Steemit purposes. I only got to know the place because one of my clients who workout with me owns it and it is a very good and reputable place, well secured and peaceful. The owner told me that it is a place that those in the government likes to lodge. That they don't need noisy people because of those dignitaries. And they can allow us to use the place without paying for the space provided we buy drinks from them just because of me. Wow! Before now, I have been looking for a place like that that is close to me and accessible to everyone. Thank goodness that I found there.

We also arranged to wear royal blue t-shirt and lite or dark blue trousers.

Well, it's time to let you know how my day went for that day.

Morning Hours

I woke up very early to mix the flour for the egg roll dough and the water solution. I was going to go out for workout and to train my clients because I had to. They have started paying me monthly subscription and as such, I will not like to miss any of the days we scheduled to workout.

All things being equal, I got dressed for the workout and left after the morning worship and after completing my work on the blog. On getting to the vanue where I workout, I was very early, no trainee was there. I decided to jog round the field for 5 times. Before the end, a client came and I gave him a special program because he told me that he wants to trim his Tommy.

Before long, others came around and I took them on a general class using the music. It was fun and we had full house that day.

Finishing up, I watched the football game they were playing in that field for a moment before going home. Some clients overheard my discussion with @alli01 concerning the meetup location and they promised to come and witness it.

But I branched in a Steemian's shop. Yes, @charibaby was recruited by me but she is such a very busy business woman that she regularly needs reminders and post ideas before she can write. I went there and encouraged her to write at least 3 times a week or even 2 times. She asked for some contests that she can write on or ideas of what she can write. I shared some with her before leaving her shop.

On getting home, I took my breakfast and quickly started making the egg rolls. I kneaded the dough and fried it. For a detailed tutorial on how I made the egg rolls, please visit my post here

Afternoon hours

The frying entered afternoon before I could finish the 4 batches. I took my bath and lay down a little to ease off. The meetup was scheduled to take place by 4pm. My kids won't even allow me sleep because they were eager to go for the meetup. They like enjoyment a lot, lols 😂😂😂😂😂.

They woke me up to get dressed. They were already dressed. We reached out to the Steemit jersey that I have and even took some to the vanue in case anyone would like to wear.

I packed the egg rolls in nylon bas for easy distribution there and add the music box that I use for my workout so that we can play music there as suggested by bossj23.

I quickly invited a bike man to come carry us but before then, my kids gave me a shot

While the kids went with one bike man, I and my husband waited for the bike to come and pick us. Before then, the trip of sharp sand that we ordered for arrived as well as well as some materials for building our tank stand and we had to make arrangements for the offload. A trip of sand that we bought NGN27000 (96 steem) just a year ago is now bought at NGN45000 (161 steem)

Evening hours

We left after we were done to meet others at the vanue. I met bossj23, mesola, okere-blessing, alli01, and so many others and after a while, goodybest came and she was given a grand welcome by all and with a standing ovation. She sat beside me and we began in earnest

It was then that we began the event. First, we welcomed everyone and introduced ourselves. I was glad to see one of my clients who showed interest to attend there. Because of her, I took permission to explain briefly what Steemit is to all present including some others that had been invited by others.

After our introductions, goodybest made the opening speech, then I had the audience to explain Steemit to them.

I had to start from scratch to explain the difference between Steemit and other social media platforms and their similarities. I then stressed the fact that it is never a get rich quick platform but a platform that encourages you to save so as to support others while you are still earning your curation rewards.

This point and many others that I stressed were very clear that it has moved the said lady that came around to sign up. She was even almost done with her introduction post as at yesterday just that I told her to retake the verification image because the writeups were nit bold. She sent it on WhatsApp for me to review before she posts

After my speech, @benton3 took time to explain some other questions that interested the steemians present in details. They asked further questions which he also addressed. In fact, his presence was very vital. It was a wonderful and straightforward responses that he gave.

After that, bossj23 gave out quizz and those who got the answer were promised a reward. I am sure that by now, he must have rewarded the winners. Everything was making real sense. I came also to realise that it had taken time before this meet up was arranged unlike before. Everyone in the platform needs this type of meet up. Yes, even though we interact on the blog and on other social media platforms, in person meeting should not be over looked as it helps steemians to feel the presence of steem and Steemit around them. I am resolved to ensure this meet up won't end here. We will try and restart it again.

The training of newbies too should be organised in person. Having a particular location as I had it before in my steemit office will be a wonderful thing. I wish I can have such again. Though presently, there is this office space at my junction which is free for rent and which can be a wonderful place for such training. But I have a lot of projects at hand right now that I can't be able to afford the rent at the moment. Perhaps after some time I can be able to do so.

It was then time for the cake to be cute by the celebrant.bi arranged the table and set the cake along with the knife I had come with.

We went outside to take some pictures, then the cakes, the drinks, the biscuits, the egg rolls were all shared to everyone present and we all enjoyed before leaving the space. Bossj23 bought us a bottle of beer which I shared with goodybest

It was a wonderful moment! It was a memorable day! I was so happy that the whole thing went successfully. The pictures of the events are here below

I and my family left, had our dinner and retired for the day. But I had to complete my work here on the blog before sleeping. It was great.
