Learning that speed matters, but consistency pays off better.Diary game 15th March 2025.

Sometimes I'm discouraged from writing because of how seemingly boring my day was. There are days I don't go out and don't have many colourful pictures to share, things like that.

• Does this ever happen to you?
  How do we combat this? Can this be one of the reasons some people aren't really active in their posting on this platform??

Anyways, I'm learning to see the fun in the mundane things and appreciate a little quiet whenever I can because Lord knows they don't come often. With this, I welcome you to my diary session for today.

Our gas burner has been acting up lately, the intensity and spread of the fire coming out of it has drastically reduced, making me spend more time cooking than I appreciate, I think it needs a change.
Because of the gas burner, I have been waking up at exactly 5am every day to prepare breakfast in time for school run and those who are leaving the house early. It hasn't been easy as most nights I sleep late and you can agree me that the 4/5am sleep hits different. I don't know why, but it's as though it's laced with sugar😂, you cannot just give it up anyhow.

Today I decided I would sleep In a little because both the gas and firewood had finished and nobody would expect a breakfast😂, but I still had to wake up early and head for the gas station to avoid a crowd. Not long I came back as I went to get both gas for the gas cooker and fuel for our generator, though I couldn't take pictures as I didn't go with my phone, I still met a reasonable number of people who like myself trying to avoid the crowd only to become the crowd 😂.

I proceeded to warm the food my mum had made the day before and set out breakfast. Once I was down with this, I tried laying down for some rest but there was a knock on my gate.
It turned out to be the Jehovah witness group doing their weekly evangelism rounds.

Though Saturdays are quiet on my street, but they made it a bit lovely as they were in a large group and it was a sight to behold. There was also a mechanic fixing a flat tire just opposite my street.

Once they had left, I went back to sleeping again but then I heard a loud bell. The dirt group had arrived.
They are the government assigned refuse dispose company. They arrive every week Thursday to pick up refuse from the neighbourhood. The last we saw them was 3 weeks ago and of course every house had dirt they wanted to dispose. It became lovely once again with mothers calling to their children, people calling one another, and replying the dirt guys who were picking up the refuse. I was in so much hurry to bring out our refuse I forgot to take a picture because once they pass your house, they won't stop, they would just keep on going.

By this time, it was already 10am and I had an online webinars to attend. I quickly plugged into the conference and got down to learning.

It was a tech webinar and I got so much value from it. One of the things I noticed was that the speaker took out good time at the beginning of the event to get to most of the people who joined in and created a comfortable relaxed environment. Though he couldn't get to everyone, this affected the mood of the class greatly.
I stayed here till the end of the class around 12 something pm in the afternoon then I went to have lunch.

Next I saw a Korean movie. These days I can't understand my affinity with theses🤷. Anyways, by 2pm I went offline to take a nap.
I slept soundly for 3 hours and woke up by some minutes to 5pm. I need to pump water into our tank as the water we have is currently finished and then I can start looking for what to wear to church as tomorrow is my worship day.
