Gotta Catch Them All-An Island Hopping and Bonding to Pandanon Island
Greetings of stress free monday steem buddies! Yesterday was simply awesome as we indulged ourselves in our first family island hopping and bonding. Definitely there is a bigger world out there and we found it yesterday! Yeah thats right we found what real beauty mother nature behold. One of our bucket list hashstag was achieved.
So, the island hopping was made possible because of our sponsor the birthday girl @jenny who is a younger sister of my wife. Thanks to her boss who allowed us to used his sea monkey (pumpboat), as we travel on the major destination for island hopping in the islands of Lapu-Lapu City. It was around 9:30 when we all met up and took the ride of the pumpboat.
Below are pictures during the trip to Pandanon Island:
The Pier While Waiting for the Pumpboat
The ride was a bit bumpy going to Pandanon Island as we were hit by mild to bigger waves but it was all about excitement and smiles all around as we are first timers for this island hopping thing.
The view of Pandanon Island before touchdown, yeah..there are houses that surrounds the island. People have invaded the lowlands, highlands and even the islands but still it is quite a scenery to behold. Simply wow!
The wavy ride was worthy of immensing ourself to the island. Yes, we made it to Pandanon Island. What caught my attention though was that the place was not really maintain as some of the cottages were destroyed plus there was no mark of improvements as what the resident vendor of stone fish whom I asked and interviewed about the place. However, as what I have observed there are still a lot of tourist local and foreign visited the place because of its clean waters plus there extremely exotic food.
Well, not quite a good food to offer for tourist but believed me its what Koreans and Japanese look for over and over when they visited Pandanon Island. They cooked this stone fish like a fish tinola for a price I didn't bother to asked. Well my wife was quite eager to know the price per kilo it is 3000 per kilo. What a heck of a fish price but of course its not easy catching this fish because you need to be extra careful as it is the world's most poisonous fish. Enough with the stone fish, so we did a little bit of sight viewing, took a dive and eat our lunch. We need to hurry up for our next destination! On to Caohagan Island. I'am sure glad to share with you steem buddies our island hopping and bonding adventure so please watch out for my second blog of our island hopping, next stop the island of sandbar, sea urchin and more, more sea foods to our satisfaction. Watch out for it, it will be a blast!
