There is no greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friend. You are my friends if you do what I command you.

I am a Good Shepherd; the Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand-who is no shepherd nor owner of the sheep-catches sight of the wolf coming and run away, leaving the sheep to be snatched and scattered by the wolf.

None of us lives alone. We share what we have, who we are, and what we stand for. We depend on our parents for love, care and support. Our friends brighten up our life. We need the friendship and cooperation of neighbors, the education provided by the school, and the spiritual life given by the church. Our government provides us protection and other basic servives.We really need one another to grow and become responsible children of our parents and concerned citizens of our country.

Friends make our growing up joyful and complete. With friends we experience the fun of youth, the joy of giving and receiving, and the happiness of loving and being loved.
We discovered that we have many friends. Some are closer to us maybe because of our constant communication, the degree of influence they have in our lives and perhaps, because of particular interest, background and calling or mission in life.
We experience many things with our friends. We share our stories, experiences both joyful and sad, including our silly thoughts, little triumphs and defeats. We also share our longings, dreams and ambitions. Our friends make our life beautiful. Our friends gives us hope and trust for tomorrow. They bridge the lonliness and boredom we experience. They clarify our doubts and questions we keep in our hearts.
To our friends, we can confide our secrets and struggles, our hopes and fears. And most often, they lift us to become better persons. Friends are precious gifts to us.
