Hello Steemians, My name is Nidhi Singh from India and I am sharing the wedding memory. I hope you all are doing great and i hope you will enjoy my entry.

^{A Wedding Celebration}

In our country Wedding means the union of two people, where two families come together to form a new relationship. Where Var (the boy) and Vadhu (the girl) follow all the rituals of the Wedding like Ring Ceremony, Haldi, Sangeet and Varmala and the Sath Phere and at Last Vidaai, they all the rituals are followed by the couple.

So this is the wedding function of my sister's brother- in-law. It was on previous month where i enjoyed every function there.

I went to my sister's house few days before and then attended all the functions.

Haldi Ceremony

It is the pre-wedding ceremony where bride and groom take haldi bath. It is the ritual where the mixture of turmeric, oil and water applied on bride and groom. After this ceremony the bride and groom can't go out.

So all the ladies put haldi on the groom's body. After it the priest prays for their new beginning.

Lagna Patrika Ceremony

In this function the groom and bride exchange the written vow and then the wedding start from this ritual. There are too many stuff like saree from the bride side for the relatives, utensils, decorative items.

After all it, we clicked a photo with the groom. After it the feast became start and i was very hungry because I didn't eat from morning.

So i ate the food, the food was really delicious and then we all came back to home to be ready for the baraat.

Baraat

Baraat is an Indian wedding ceremony where the groom rides on a mare to pick up his bride. The baraat are taken with great pomp. Everyone celebrates by swinging, singing, bursting firecrackers.

When the baraat reaches the bride's court, the bride's mother welcomes the groom.

Varmala/ Jaimala

It is the sign of acceptance where the bride and groom exchanges the Maala with each other. And they accept each other as a wife and as a husband.

After it i clicked a photo with them and i enjoyed the wedding.

So this is all about where i attend a wedding and i love all the rituals which are happen in India. This is our culture where all the rituals are done by enjoy.
