Indian-almond (কাঠ বাদাম)!!!
In my last two posts, I wrote that there is a lake in front of the Kurmitola Hospital (Dhaka) and the lake is surrounded by different types of tree.
One side of the lake is full of Indian almond tree.
I took pictures of almond at different stage, from early stage to matured stage.
The scientific name of Indian-almond is Terminalia catappa.
It is known as in different names country-almond, Indian-almond, Malabar-almond, sea-almond and tropical-almond.
We know more or less the health benefit of almond. It is a rich source of potassium, fibers, vitamins and minerals. This is an ideal food for preventing various diseases including cancer.
Almond is considered as a symbol of abundance and good health from the ancient times.
Now I am sharing the pictures of Almond and the different steps of its growing up.
