Trichodiadema flowering
I'm posting pictures of the succulents that are currently flowering in my garden. This one is Trichodiadema bulbosum, a favourite with people who like to make bonsai succulents, because it also has a caudex (succulent root) which looks like a gnarled trunk if it is grown exposed. I think I am just going to leave this caudex underground.
The name Trichodiadema refers to the little "crown" of bristles on the tips of the leaves. Despite the bristles, these plants are often eaten by horses or donkeys when they are grazing
