Wildflower series - photobombing flower
I was taking pictures of the old Protea (sugarbush) flower discs, which are hard and woody, and was struck by the effect created by the cosmos flowers. They just happen to be growing under the tree but look almost as if they are the tree's actual flowers.
I haven't been able to catch this particular tree in flower yet but this is a Wikipedia image of what they look like.

I really do like the woody looking flower, I would like that to place that as a decoration in my room or wall.
They are popular in dried floral arrangements.
They are beautiful, nature is never boring.
Proteas are amazing looking shrubs and their flowers are world renowned.
