About the App
Turn Off App is free and open source software to shutdown your computer at selected hour or after specifed time period available on Windows platform.
Logo Design Process
First I did some sketches on my notebook, just to explore some ideas for the new logo. I tried to combine a timer with a turn off button, and quite satisfied with the initial concept.
I transfered my sketch to my computer, then start building some shapes in Illustrator.
I continue to refine the concpet, and make sure that it is look good, balance and legible.
Here is the final concept alongside a few other concepts that I've made.
The Result
I've made some color variations to the logo.
The new logo compared to the old logo, the new one looks more clean and modern.
The new logo work so well when applied to Turn Off App website, the cleanness and simplicity of the new logo match with the simplicity of the website. The new logo also work really well as a favicon of the website.
Size does matter, the new logo is really balance and legible, it will work when printed really big like on a billboard, it will also work and legible when used as a favicon of a website.

One thing if I need to critisize would be the contrast, it looked so pale to me. Like the older version was. As it suggest in the name Turn-Off it's quite right to use that color but I'd rather more eye-catchy color.

I thought the same with the contrast, and that was why i made a few color variations and include it in the editable final file.
