SEC S17W5: The Diary Game (09:05:2024): "The ways of life"

“A way of life that keeps saying 'Around the next corner, above the next step,' works against the natural order of things and makes it so difficult to be happy and good. We live our lives as if they were one big emergency, if we would just slow down, happiness would catch up to us.”

The way of life is a pattern by which we live our daily lives. People have a daily routine for breakfast, sleeping, leisure, work, and other activities. I don't have a particular routine for all my daily activities; I plan on a daily basis and achieve my results at the end of the day.

Today, 9|5|2024, was a busy and fun day for me.

Morning

Today was no exception to the other days when I received the grace of sleeping and waking up. I slept so late the previous night because I had a midnight prayer, which lasted for two hours. Waking up to the sound of my alarm, I felt it was so early to wake, and I had it off to continue my sleep.

When I don't get enough sleep, I feel weak, tired, and have headaches, but I get enough before starting my day. When I finally got up from my bed, I dressed the bed, swept the floor, arranged my clothes, and got ready to leave the house.

I got dressed and went to my friend's place. She stays in an apartment that has a reception for visitors. When I got there, I waited for her at the reception. We had a long discussion about business and life generally, but in the middle of the discussion, she offered to serve me a breakfast of rice and stew.

She excused herself to go get the meal ready while I waited for her at the reception. When the food finally arrived, I ate with her to my satisfaction, and it was so delicious. After breakfast, we continued our discussions, and about 30 minutes later, I was ready to go, but she joined me to get some items at a minimart around the house.

Afternoon

It was a hot afternoon, and the sun was really telling us. Since the mini-mart was so close, we walked down to get some items from there. That is the only mini-mart that sells beyond the normal market prices of goods, and they are new to town, so people are yet to know about their existence.

We bought some eggs, which were sold for #900 by 6 in a mini-create, a loaf of bread for #1,100, a pack of spaghetti for #800, and some beverages for just #500. This mini-mart sells in retail, not whole sale, and their price is so low compared to the market price.

We left after the purchase with the items for my house. I went straight into the kitchen to prepare lunch. I fried two eggs, sliced some bread, and prepared the tea for lunch. I had the meal with my friend, and afterward, I washed off the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen. We took a nap because we were tired from the hot sun.

I slept for like 2 hours and woke up to continue my work. My friend was sleeping at this time, and I was able to deliver my work perfectly.

Evening

Around 5 p.m., my friend was awake, and I was done with my work. I was just seeing a movie when she woke up. She requested we play a game before she goes home. I joined her to play the game.

It is a traditional game called "Ncho" by the Igbos and "Ayo" by the Yorubas. This game's distinguished uniqueness is that it involves critical thinking and calls for concentrated calculation. It must be played by two people.

I love playing this game because it helps me relax, develop my brain, and inspire me to do things right. I won with my friend during the game, although she was still learning the game. As she prepared to go, I walked her down to the gate as she bid farewell.

I entered the kitchen to prepare dinner because it was getting late. I prepared spaghetti and eggs for dinner. I had my bath after cooking and dished some portion of the meal as my dinner and ate. I rested with a movie and slept afterwards.
