I am so happy to be among the steemit promoters. Today is our day 5 of the road show which happens every Tuesdays and Fridays of the week. We have been doing so good in our every day work. Most times we encounter rain but this week's was a different story all together.

A little moment with my colleagues before the road show

I left home to the office at 7:30am just for me to able to meet up with traffic. I got there and it was locked. I waited a little while before @samuel20 came around to open up the whole place. Meanwhile, a Steemian (@tripplem) from umuahia was already there waiting for us to arrive.

When he opened up, we went in to arrange things and then got set to move out. @tripplem was very hungry when she arrived, so I took her down stairs to get food but fortunately for me, she bought for me as well. We ate the food as fast as possible because at the moment, everyone was waiting for us. @marajah arrived while we were still eating so she waited alongside with others.

The show proper

We decided at the center that we were all going to a particular location where we've visited sometime during the road show. We chose that location because you can easily find pedestrian traffic at that bus stop. We boarded a tricycle that conveyed us to the location. When we got there, we took permissions from the people making sales there so that we don't violate the rules. When we finally got the permission, we mounted our flex as a display so as to let people know that we didn't just came out to stand on the street for nothing sake. We started distributing the flyers to the passer bys and also making efforts to talk to people.

What I was able to accomplish

Immediately the flyers were shared, I started sharing to people and also explaining to them what steemit was and how they can join. I was able to talk to few persons who gave a listening ear to what I have to say.

I met the first person and he said he is in a haste so next time. I still met other persons that listened to me. I have one that said he would love to sign up but just that he was in a haste, but I was able to collect his digit because he was gonna sign up when he is free. While our stay last,, I still met more persons to explain steemit to.

Refreshment Hour

We started this road show at the late hours of 9am and ended it at 1pm. We went to an eatery around the conner to get some refreshments. We had plate of rice with chicken and a bottled water to step down. While we were still at the refreshments table, one of our members from uyo breezed in to say hi to us. She joined us on the table and also in the picture taking. We took so many pictures after the refreshments. Everyone was ready to leave at this point because we have had enough for the day.

Conclusion

This road show has been a sure way of getting people to know about steemit. We have been working so hard and it has been productive. I wish to commend all the promoters for their great work and all those supporting this movement.
