THE DIARY GAME : 23RD MARCH, 2022 : MEETING WITH THE EARTH SCIENCE PRESIDENT, ATTENDING GEOPHYSICS LECTURES & SHOPPING IN TOWN.

Greetings everyone,

It is that time of the year in my school campus where leadership roles are filled and appointment letters are issued to various prospective candidates so that they may consider. These individuals will take charge of the various organizations in school so as to help manage their affairs.

Today, I received a phone call from the president of the Earth and Environmental Science Association in the person of Benjamin who asked me to meet him for a brief meeting. This particular meeting was about an appointment they had for me as part of their audit committee chair.

We therefore discussed what is entailed in the given role. Basically, the audit committee chair examines the finances of the organization and ensures that funds are properly spent.

After our meeting, I went to have my exploration geophysics lecture with Dr. Casmed. This field of geology is very exciting as it deals with the use of modern technology in its processes. Some of its applications include; aeromagnetic surveys, seismology, electrical resistivity, and so on.

The lecture was an introduction session to the course but Dr. Casmed did well to point out several use cases such as the use of total stations in modern surveying, checking for potential landslides, assessing groundwater pollution and so on.

Once I was done with this lecture, I decided to pass through town to purchase a couple of items. The main thing I was looking for were some malt drinks. They have become quite expensive these days so buying them at the wholesale shops is the best thing for now.

I therefore made some enquiries and decided to head over to the nearest wholesale shop to purchase them.

Upon arrival, the place seemed to be well organized and packed with all kinds of drinks you may be looking for. They also sell some alcoholic beverages as well for those who might want some.

The pack of malt drink costs 45 cedis/ 16.7 steem of which I bought one from this shop.

Once I was done, I decided to head back to my hostel in order to get some rest. After I woke up, I had to write on an assignment given to me by my project supervisor concerning the geology of the upper east region. I will be presenting the final work to her the next day.
