The night was dark and silent. Too silent. It was eating at you, slowly and steadily like you were eating at your fingernails. Something had to be done. You walked outside into the darkness, but you knew the path to the barn by heart. The crunch of gravel beneath your feet led you there. You climbed the rungs of the rickety ladder and you snatched him by his talons, jerking that lazy over-sleeping owl to alertness as the moon came out from behind a cloud. Moonlight drenched both you and him, and he let out one loud, silence piercing who-who-whoo-whoooo. There, all was as it should be again.
I didn't write anything on my blog tonight like I was supposed to - too sleepy and maybe a bit lazy. But I wrote you a story, that counts for something, right?
Sure, it counts! Why not. Twas a mini blog post published within the tribe of @NoNamesLeftToUse. And since I'm the only curator here, I guess I should give it a vote.
I was feeling kind of lazy as well. I think I'll save my days off and days away for the weekend though. Unless it rains...
It's too soon for me to want to jump into something like that. First I'd need a larger market. Then I'd want to see where others have failed. Then I'd want to see where others have succeeded. Then I'd pick something nobody thought of and go from there.
I have been trying to learn some html for my own personal start page. I just spent most of the day trying to figure out why the picture view box I wanted to do was not working right, I doubt I did it correctly, but I have it working so I am happy for now.
i suppose it is why I have left some semi long comments over the last few days, they seem to help clear my mind, kind of like talking to yourself, but with out the attached stigma. Like your painting, looking into the ghost of future past or of the spirits of tomorrow. or just looking inward trying to scratch that unscratchable itch.
I don't mind reading your comments, or anyone's comments, for that matter. One of my favorite things to read here are what people see in my art. I also enjoy the joking around part, when that happens. Quiet days aren't the best for me. I personalize too much of it, and wonder what I may have done wrong. Drives me nuts.
Had to open this twice as the image didn't load into SteemPeak's modal the first time o_O My youngest has been marathoning Slugterra again so completely unsurprisingly I'm seeing a person with a slug XD
Quieter is easier for me at this point in time, my pathetic vp means I need to do higher percentage votes to get the dusty minimum that I want to put on which is making me run out quicker (I tend to stop when I run out of feed, interest, time or can't do 1c, whichever happens first).
There is that, SteemPeak only shows me how much pal is on a post as well as steem. Maybe one day they’ll also have configurable sliders and values for whatever you care about out of the hundred million tribes 😆
My big thing is pointing out the shortage of consumers, and trying to think of ways of attracting them. With this current shortage, it's dangerous to begin branching out too far, now. Too much, too soon. It's good people are getting their tribes setup, but it's still too early in the game to lose touch with home base. Just my opinion.
I agree. The branching out hopefully gives people who are here now the understanding of what is actually required. from what I hear, there is a mass of abuse over at sportstalk - seems people haven't learned.
I can't afford to lose more customers. I don't think anyone can.
I haven't paid much attention to sportstalk lately. Any time I go, I'm just stumbling into those posts about tribes. I don't go to Palnet to read about the existence of Palnet. I don't go to Steem Leo to read about the existence of Steem Leo. I understand those posts are a given during a tribe's first few days but weeks later? And it's always that same damn post mentioning the existence of each tribe, using all the tags. It baffles me why anyone even votes for that drivel.
I wrote about how this tag spam would happen, before it happened, because it was easy to see coming. I recently wrote about how pointless it is to advertise about ourselves internally, to ourselves.
I'm trying to help but I know some folks won't listen or see my point, plus most won't even see the posts. Always outspoken, I'll still at least try. A good scolding is better than a good flagging.
Each time one of these new tribes popped up I was interested in, I jumped aboard, and instead of writing the "OMG we have a new tribe" post, I delivered actual content. So then there's my post on the trending page mixed in with all of the announcement posts and tribe whale posts.
Actual content is so damn important. Why people have to take the low road and reach for that easy money baffles me.
Sorry about the rant/rambling. What's happening over at sportstalk, that I already know I most likely won't want to see because it'll make my left eyelid twitch?
I have no idea what is happening on sports talk, my info is second hand through Ash.
I write a post last night about the tribes and how they are going to have to learn how to keep their homes clean. It isn't so easy it seems for s community to be self aware enough to adjust behaviour.
Indeed, losing viewing customers is never great for a showman but hopefully, those that stay are good customers. Up until now perhaps there was too much for reward viewing rather than out of interest viewing.
I see the all the posts on STEEM about STEEM and it conjures up an image in my mind of a snake eating it's own tail (would love to see your artistic interpretation of this!).
At some level if that is your primary contribution, you aren't really a contributor, but an acolyte. That is not a sustainable content engine.
There are two types of those posts. I call one the internal memo. I feel those are important. They usually consist of straight talk, knowledge, ideas. They come from people who actually know what they're talking about. I've written a few. Then there are the hype and gripes. Pointless cheerleading, preaching to the choir; and those whiny types who usually don't know what the hell they're talking about, or they have some big idea that would make their life easier but wouldn't solve a problem, probably just end up creating more. Those hype and gripes we don't need. Some folks will talk about their experiences here and celebrate milestones. That's more about life though. This thing becomes a part of your life once you dive in. As long as those are honest and genuine, I don't mind reading them.
There needs to be far more actual content taking center stage though. I see a music performance right now in the featured section. That is awesome to see. I hope there's more featured posts from actual content producers.
I reported u and bernie and swelker and coffeebuds & steemit.com to gov today! More reports coming! Tomorrow finally sec!
All bernies death threats to me, he sent that btc. hitman guy to get me, it’s on the blockchain! serious! U better run and hide! get out while u can before they seize the computers for evidence! Busted Karma Sorry! You shouldn’t have targeted me and blocked me, all i could do was snitch! idk! your fucking little twat bitch!

Can the nonameslefttouse tribe be all about posting random bits of writing that belong to no category whatsoever? Because if so I will totally join.
There has been no rain here today, so it was not a lazy one for me.

Yes, my comment votes have risen up to 10% and higher... but they are also reward folks in other tokens quite nicely at times.

Actually that would be pretty cool 🤔

A red hot sweltering Mr. @nonameslefttouse grasps a cool drink apparently filled with dry ice or perhaps he's about to quaff a potion.
I didn't notice it looks like a drink until a couple of you said it looks like a drink. That totally does look like a drink though.

Shhhhhkramatters.
Facing the artistry and allowing to speak undisturbed I words thank you my friend
Thank you.
nice dude! what is he drinking? it is evaporating...
Drinking the silence, I guess.
I see hehe :)
It does seem pretty quiet around these 'ere parts.
Is she silently working the balls?
HA! No.
So very quiet though. Not sure what to make of it.
From what I hear, some are trying the new interfaces with their ALTs.

Time will play it's cards eventually
There most likely was some for reward viewers, but there are a ton of good people who I got to know and like, and I rarely see them now.

(I couldn't resist)
Someone needs to mix this voice track with a generic reggae beat.
You made me remember a great song. Enjoy.

I need to post something, but I'm so caught up in other shit right now!
I'm quite busy as well. Might do one more and then take a day off or two. Getting kind of tired.
