Culinary Contest| Cooking Competition

Hello and a beautiful Sunday to you all. It's nice to be here in this Ukraine on Steem community. I hope we are having a good day. I want to thank @mariam.dariam for this culinary cooking contest.

Today, I decided to make this special native rice, we also call it local rice or palm oil rice. The ingredients for this rice isn't always much, just few items.

• Rice

• Crayfish

• Onions

• Pepper

• Maggi

• Salt

• Fish

• Palm oil

I chosed smoked fish today because it's flavour will be tasted in the rice.

Step-by-step Recipe

• What I do first is wash the rice and put in on fire in a pot of water.

• Then I go ahead and use hot water to wash and debone the fish, cut the quantity of onions I need and set aside. I also pound my crayfish with pepper.

• Once the rice is in its desired texture, I bring it down, sieve it and wash it, then set it aside. What I will do first is; in my empty pot on fire, I pour in a little palm oil (this will help change the rice to yellow colour)

• When it starts smoking, I add my chopped onions, stir a little and add my fish, then i add a little salt and maggi to taste. This will give the rice a nice flavour.

• Then you stir it a little while to fry, then I add water that will cook the rice to finish, then i add my crayfish

• Then I allow it boil before finally pouring in my rice. I usually remain somethings to pour on top of the rice, like the crayfish and fish, then i put my salt and maggi.

The end product is very yummy and delicious, I didn't waste any time to dish and eat.
