Almost Instant Canker Sore Relief Remedy
Is there anything as irritating and potentially as painful as a mouth full of canker sores? I used to suffer from these often and while medication can ease the pain and eventually make them disappear, it always seemed to take forever.
About a year ago I stumbled across a way to not only ease the pain, but get rid of my canker sores quickly. It is easy to do and is now my go-to treatment for canker sores.
Steps to Get Rid Of A Canker Sore
For this method to be successful, it is important to start early. Canker sores usually appear a day or so before they become painful. This is the time to act.
The first step is to swish your mouth with a glass of water mixed with a teaspoon of salt. Just swish the mixture in your mouth for about 20 seconds and then spit it out.
The next step is to take a warm glass of water and add a tablespoon of lemon juice. Don't add sugar, just drink it as is. I do this in the morning and in the evening before bed.
By doing this your canker sore will be gone within a day. I know, hard to believe! But it works.
Comment if you have ways to get rid of canker sores that don't include medications.
now that is handy thing to know!
Wowza...never dreamed of that. The one thing Id stay away from is salt and lemon. But it makes sense.
Used to get these a lot when I was young. wish I new then.
I recall trying to act for a tv show, with them. Oh so painful. Where were you then?...lol Good to know!
I thought the same thing. But it works!
Wow - it does seem hard to believe! Seems like the lemon would sting - but it's sure worth a try. Bookmarking this one. Thanks for posting.
I was not aware of the lemon juice, great idea! I also use baking soda (with a little bit of water jut to make a paste so it holds together) on canker sores and those horrible rogue taste buds that swell up. Makes your mouth water like crazy, but it does the trick. I always have both lemon juice and baking soda on hand. :)
Never thought about baking soda. Makes sense though.
Lemon juice helps to remove toxins from the system which of course helps to feed cankers. Drinking it morning and evening helps your body in a lot of ways.
Absolutely!
Thanks! I hadn't heard about the lemon trick before and will have to try it. I used to get canker sores several times a month but then I switched to an SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) free toothpaste and now I only get them once in a while.
