My Sports Hobby || Understanding and Calculating of Scoring Points in Basketball

The first time I played football at age 7, I committed so many fouls because I was not conditioned to play football with my legs, today you can witness similar cases with children they will always want to touch the football with their hands, footballs are played with hand too, that's only when the ball is out of play to the sides adjacent the keeper's area(sideline), this is known as throw ball. So to satisfy my desire to play ball with hands, I discovered a different sport, basketball, though I didn't get the ball at a tender age and even now I have contributed to the purchase of this ball with my team of five players and those on the bench.

I have been on the bench for so long, my coach says I should sit back to learn as a beginner. Sometimes I feel I can perform better on the court until my heart beeps when he asks me to score a 3 point. To this challenge, I will be telling you what scoring a point means. The basketball court has two nets equally opposite to each other and a center line that divides the court into two halves, so after the middle line there is an arc that is drawn that covers the basket area, scoring at or outside this line gives you a 3-point score. Scoring inside the arc will give you a double-point score, and for a 1-point score, many things contribute to it.

Some may be wondering why basketball has so many scores unlike other sports and scoring points is almost equivalent to that of volleyball. Scores are counted by points and the distance at which the ball is thrown into the net determines the point obtained. There is no keeper so if you are swift enough to throw you may score in less than 3 seconds. One contributor to the one-point win is a foul play, when there is a foul play there is equally a free throw given and the free throw point is very close to the net, so the possibility of scoring is 99%.
