AS THEY BEGAN TO SING

With an alliance of three enemy nations that came against Judah, seeking to overrun it; Jehoshaphat sought help from the Lord Who enthroned him as King over His people. The Lord by the mouth of Jahaziel the son of Zachariah assured them of a sweet victory over these enemy forces. They were to simply go out the next day against their enemies who were already on their way with every battle readiness you can imagine. God had undertaken to fight for them, having proclaimed the battle as His own battle.
Jehoshaphat consulted with the people after the Word of the Lord came and they agreed to appoint singers to go before the army of Judah, to praise the Lord in the beauty of His Holiness. With the singers arrayed before the army of Judah, nothing happened; but, as soon as they began to sing praise unto the Lord, the Lord moved and set an ambush against the three enemy forces.
If nothing happened before they began to sing, what do you think would have happened if they simply had it as a plan in their hearts and didn’t sing unto the Lord? Many today have well laid out plans which they seek to execute in furtherance of the Kingdom of God. They have bottled it up in their hearts with no viable action to back it up, and they expect God to respond to them.

No! It doesn’t work that way. God is interested in that plan and in His sovereignty, He has chosen to tie so much to the plans you have devised in your heart, geared towards the glory of His name. Until you begin, you may never really be able to experience the awesomeness of God’s power in your situation.
If you want it remain in the realm of thought only, God is ready to match His thoughts with yours – “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, said the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” Jeremiah29:11. If you want action from God; then, get ready with some action from your end. As you begin, the Almighty God will set up His machinery to make real His glorious promises in your life.
“As they began to sing and praise, the Lord, set…” There is so much of divine setting that comes handy, when you begin to do that which you have earmarked to do, to lift up the name of the Lord. There is so much of God’s ability that comes to manifestation, when you begin to do that which He has laid upon your heart to do.
